pull-up cam: https://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/watch-live-2018-nhl-scouting-combine-saturday-9-m-et/ Nice.... thanks! I say this every year.... why not put them on the ice and put them through some tests similar to the NFL combine. Time them sprinting, measure shot speed and accuracy, agility, passing accuracy, etc... Just seems strange that for a sport played on ice, the combine testing involves only off-ice testing. Makes little sense.... thanks Bettman, you jackass.

Guhle, Ullmark, Asplund, Bailey, Baptiste, CJ Smith, Casey Nelson, Pu, Borgen, Olofsson, etc.. His drafts and undrafted FA signings weren't terrible... there's probably at least 5 future significant NHL players in that group... and none of them 1st round picks. That's pretty good over a 3 year period. Edit: OK, not all of those guys were drafted/signed by TM, but I'm too lazy to look them all up. -
or lack thereof.

Would be nice to watch some hockey on a Friday night... but no, let's wait another day. Thanks Bettman, you jackass.

Well stated, I generally agree with all points. This team isn't as far off as we think. They lost 20 something games last season by one goal. It wasn't like they were getting blown out of the building night in and night out. They would play down to their competition and never push back when they needed to. Part of that is youth, part of that is leadership and coaching. I'm willing to give Housley 20 games to show some significant improvement in play because he hasn't shown to be part of the solution.

The difference is that Vegas is currently in the Cup final. There is no pressure to rush any of their prospects into the NHL, they have the luxury of letting them bake and develop for however long they wish, while Buffalo really really really needs some of their prospects to make the jump this year and be significant contributors.

That's good to know and re-assuring. Thank you.

Well, with all the draft picks they have stockpiled and young talent in their system, they'll be winning for a long long time.

Did they check Dahlin's hereditary arthritis? I'm assuming that came up in his physical. His brother retired at age 20 because of it.

nice to see the Caps get rewarded.

Curious to find out why he still has a job.
-
Now this is some quality intel. +1
-
It also doesn't mean he's NOT questioning his ability.

He plays the game a certain way. Some people don't like it, and I'm OK with that. Kaleta was even more aggressive tbh.

So Eichel runs Bylsma out of town... and now Dahlin, before he's even drafted, is already running Housley out of town. I could get behind that narrative.

If checking was legal in women's hockey, there would be fewer women participating.

I, too, also have a lot of questions about Housley.

I'll bet you're one of those guys who likes it when guys pat each other on the back after an orchestrated "fight". You want to see fewer dangerous hits? Then get rid of the instigator rule. That way we'll get the Probert's and Twist's back into the league who can do a better job of policing the game.
