  1. The linesmen shouldn't be allowed to pump fake the drop. When I played competitively I was laser focused on the linesman's hand when taking a draw. The slightest jerk of his hand would be your trigger. No around, just get them lined up, then boom drop the puck... don't stall, don't pump fake. Just drop the damn puck.
  2. Max Jones maybe? Robert Thomas? Vilardi?
  3. I was at the expansion draft. Fleury was the centerpiece at that time. Him and Neal were the only guys anybody was excited about. The Ducks traded (gave) them Shea Theodore in exchange for the Knights selecting Clayton Stoner instead of Josh Manson or Sami Vatanen. Stoner ended up on IR with a repeat abdominal injury. IMO Theodore was and still is a better prospect than Vatanen. They ended up trading Vatanen anyway.... I still don't understand the thought process there. They should've made moves before the expansion draft so they could protect both Theodore AND Manson. Instead they traded Theodore to keep Vatanen who they traded for Henrique. Why not protect Vatanen instead of Bieksa? The Blue Jackets gave the Knights a 1st round pick in 2017 (24th overall), and a 2nd round pick in 2019 and in exchange the Knights agreed to select William Karlsson and take on David Clarkson's contract. I understand the need for CBJ to move Clarkson's contract, but it cost them a 1st, a 2nd, AND a +40 goal scorer. Why not protect Karlsson instead of Hartnell? And the FLA protects 4 D and 4 F, instead of 3 D and 7 F. What!??!?! They protect Ekblad, Yandle, Pysyk and Petrovic. And expose a 30 goal scorer make $750k? Just dumb. MIN gives the Knights Alex Tuch in exchange for Vegas selecting Eric Haula... instead of Dumba, Scandella, or Staal. Minny was in a tough spot, if they didn't want to lose a defensman, they were going to need to give up something significant. Hard to argue with this strategy.
  4. Rinne and Dell might be available.
  5. I started out in mites and squirts as a forward... moved to defense in peewee's and stayed there until college, where I was recruited as a forward because of my size, 5'10 tipping the scales at 165lbs out of high school. Back then I was too small to play defense no matter how well I could skate or handle the puck. Anyway, I think it's best to play some of both while you're developing. You gain a better understanding of the game by experiencing it from a different perspective. You see things you otherwise may not see if you were playing a different position. I don't know how Dahlin settled on defense, but some kids just have a knack for it.
  6. Anaheim or LA would be my guess.
  7. same Doesn't matter if you need it, it was still entertaining.
  8. Sign 19 more undrafted free agents from Sweden or Russia who will add "organizational depth".
  9. This is worse than the Antipin signing. Waste of a contract IMO. There's a reason these guys we're not even drafted. Quantity does not equal quality. We need guys that can play big boy hockey, not undersized skill players.
  10. Kings playoff games.
  11. I think he gets moved. In his locker clean out interview he said that told himself "screw it, I'm just going to play my game" around mid-season. Sounds like a slight on Housley.
  12. I think we all need to pump the brakes a bit on Dahlin. It's getting ridiculous.
  13. Vegas fans are the worst. It's like they won the lottery on their first try and can't stop talking about I after you've lost your life savings on scratch-offs.
  14. Here. we. go.
  15. Dust. Another desperate overhyped move by a bumbling organization. How about you bring in some real life NHL players Mr. Botts. Enough of this throwing at the wall to see what sticks. Let's make a hockey trade for some real hockey players instead of hoping to catch lighting in a bottle.
  16. Put VR cameras all around the arena, then sell virtual season tickets where fans can watch the game from anywhere like you're actually in the stands.
  17. The time to move on was last off-season, but both Botterill and Housley ignored years of film and gave everyone a clean slate. Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it, so here we are.
  18. Bogo will play with Dahlin, and excel... for 13 games or so, before season ending LBI.
  19. depends on how the team is playing at home that season
  20. I'll make a prediction.
  21. haha, hell yeah! I'll take one of these....
  22. to get back off-topic.... I often wonder about guys like Elway, Marino, Kelly, Montana, Young, Favre... etc... if they had social media, what kind of stuff would've shown up in the media? Makes it difficult to pass judgement on kids these days just because there's a permanent record of the stupid they said as a young teenager.
