  1. @SunGarrioch: UPDATED: Hoffman, fiancée deny harassing the Karlssons http://ottawacitizen.com/sports/hockey/nhl/senators-extra/exclusive-hoffman-fiancee-deny-harassing-the-karlssons/ "We reached out to Erik at the end of May to try and figure this out together and privately before something like this happened,” Hoffman said. “We got nothing back. “All of a sudden, a few days later, we see this article all over social media and all over the world. There’s a few times we’ve tried to go to them to get to the bottom of it and discuss it and see what they had to say and let us defend ourselves, but there’s been no option to do that."
  2. Wahlstrom would help on shootouts but just seems a bit too immature to me...
  3. They said the same thing about Matt Duchesne for years before he was dealt. I don't believe a word of it.
  4. damn... no game in ANA.
  5. CBS Sports reports that Hoffman’s statement continued, “We’ve offered to co-operate and do anything it takes to find out who is doing this, and support [the Karlssons]. Obviously this is a tough time that they’re going through, and we want to find out who is doing this, because for some reason it’s coming into our court, and it’s 150 per cent that it’s not us. We have nothing to hide. We’re willing to co-operate in any way to solve this and figure it out, and prove that it wasn’t us.”
  6. 1) I said Donovan outscored Dahlin... and he did. I'm not talking about PPG. 2) Sorry, that was dudacek who compared him to Forsbeg+Lidstrom. 3) True. 4) Wow, that's an eye-popping 0.023 more points per game than Matt Donovan. Elite status confirmed. So you're saying Dahlin is a whopping 0.023 ppg better than Matt Donovan..... and somehow that translates to generational prospect? OK, lol. Anyway, I'm kidding, I think Dahlin is one of the best D prospects to come around in the past 20 years or so.... but I'm not buying the idea that he's a can't miss prospect, because there's no tangible evidence...... yet.
  7. I love Hoffman's game tho... and that one-timer is elite. I find it hard to believe Hoffman's girlfriend would say such a thing to Karlsson's wife. There's no proof that was her making that comment on twitter. I'd do a ROR for Hoffman and and pick type of deal... if JBOTs is set on moving ROR... which I think would be a mistake.
  8. I have Wahlstrom ranked 3rd behind Svechnikov and....... Zadina. haha, j/k.
  9. @incarceratedbob: **UPDATED NHL NEWS** Source: Montreal Canadiens getting offers for Max Pacioretty 4 teams confirmed to be in "Serious" stages trying to work deal. Not done but talks are "Progressive" #Sabres #Hurricanes #Senators still waiting on confirmation on 4th team will update asap #IB
  10. He does not yet possess the required amount of emotional maturity for that conversation.
  11. I thought we weren't trading away prospects anymore? Very Murrayesque trade IMO.
  12. So the Sabres are specifically targeting two types of players... Swedish or former BU Terriers ...now if there was just a swedish former BU Terrier.... JBOTs head would explode.
  13. ...as much as I hate on Risto and his putrid career plus/minus, I hope he sticks around. He's my 12y/o son's favorite player, has his jersey, and choose to be #55 next season w/ the Jr. Ducks. Would be a blow to my kids morale if he was moved. That said, I take full responsibility for letting that happen... chalk it up to poor parenting.
  14. His forehead is my breakout candidate of the year.
  15. Fasching was really hyped up as a prospect. He scored in his first game, and then was mostly downhill from there. He had a solid background, was hyped up as a solid character guy, hardworking, etc.... and yet here we are. You just never know with kids that age I guess.
  16. Yeah it is. But, it wouldn't work because it wouldn't help them cap wise.... They'd be trading away $6m (JT Miller is an RFA)... and bringing in $12.5m (ROR+Bogo).
  17. The SJ trade doesn't include ROR.
  18. That Lindros trade resulted in multiple Cups for Colorado (Quebec). He was a can't miss prospect, and he had a decent career that was short circuited by injury. Colorado on the other hand... Forsberg, Ricci, Duchesne were key contributors in their Cup runs. I'd do a deal for Martin Jones, Brenden Dillon, and Tomas Hertl.... plus they would need to take Bogosian's contract off our hands. Or a deal with TBL who have some cap issues... BUF 1st overall, Ryan O'Reilly, and Zach Bogosian for Kucherov, Point, Sergachev, and JT Miller.
  19. I simply stated a fact. Rasmus Dahlin was outscored by Matt Donovan. That's not a "take", that's a fact. And it didn't take much research, just looked at hockeydb. You want to compare Dahlin to Lidstrom and Forsbeg? Fine. Statistically he produced less than Matt Donovan. Like or not, that's the truth. If he's Forsberg and Lidstrom wrapped into one super prospect, then I find it hard to believe that prospect would get out produced by a 27 year-old Matt Donovan. Nobody was statistically close to McDavid or even Eichel in their final amateur seasons. So until I see some evidence, Rasmus Dahlin is just the Great Swedish Hope. There's nothing tangible to grab hold of except for "he skates like X", or " he sees the game like Y"... etc etc... it's all conjecture at this point.
  20. And yet he gets outscored by Matt Donovan.
  21. Burns, Doughty or Hedman.
