  1. Well... The best translation I could do from that bad spelling is "the one with beautiful bones". Should we simplify that and just call him *****??
  2. I totally agree with this! It is so much easier to see which players are suitable for NHL if they have to show responsible two way play and also have to create offence in a defensive system.
  3. I have been in leadership course where they teached that when giving feedback it should be three positive things for one negative. So here we go: One negative: The goal scoring. It is really difficult now. It has got them frustrated, and that makes it even harder. They need some "easy" goals to unlock it, the problem is that the easy bouncing goals do not come if they do not work hard enough in front of the net. Positive 1: Due to The Hockey Writers, since the horribel loss to Columbus they have given the fewest goalchances 5 on5 in the league. That is a big improvment. Positive 2: Goaltending. UPL is looking like the goalie we have waited for. And Levi is in Rochester and getting games and getting time to develop his game. Positive 3: Cozens. He is improving, and I think he has looked as good as ever lately. He should not be on the PK, but he is not putting himself to play there either, Adams need to get a player that take face offs and PK. And he need to get goalscoring going again.
  4. I am an optimist 😀
  5. Would it be possible to trade up to draft Lindstrom for Sabres first and Savoie??
  6. I Like this! He got size too! But we Have wingers already. If we retain half Skinners salary for the next two years maybe Rangers would be interested in a trade??
  7. I would not Rush him, definitely not, but he is young and need to play games to develop, so if medical experts say he is good to go and no risks exept from the normal game situations, then it is ok with me. Playoff-games is a boost and gives routine. With some luck he could build chemistry with other Sabre prospects, like he and JJ did.
  8. What does the rules say, could he play for Americans in Calder cup playoffs?
  9. I agree with everything you say except the last sentence. 😀
  10. What we got that teams are interested in is cap space and that we can retain salary. That could give us an opportunity to get a new fourthline upgrade, but probably picks. And that's fine as long as picks we get are used to trade for upgrades, and gives a bigger possibility Adams afford to overpay to get it. We are to far behind to be buyers, a win over Tampa and no injury on Quinn and I would think different.
  11. Sure, why not, as a 3C with Thompson and Benson on the wings
  12. It sure is a gamble from Vancouver, they are a team with hardly any playoff experience and now a one season window to contender. No preasure. But it is entertaining when some teams do take risks and gamble.
  13. I have concerns about his size too. But how that affects on his play depends on mates and match-up, and two summers in that age can help build up muscles. I can see him being creative on PP as highest skill.
  14. Well, Nemec is on a team with 3-4 injured defenders at this moment, Korchinski is in Chicago. I do think it is a bit stupid to compare himself with them. But he is not that bad that he should be scratched either. I can not figure out what Kekäläinen is trying to do. His off season with signing Severson and Provorov when they have Jiricek and several other that made great progress. And they needed a 1C! Not to mention the Babcock situation.... He might be a finn as I am. But he is by far the worst GM in NHL. I promise, if Sabres ever hire him as a GM, I will abandon the team immediately and never come back as a fan ever. Why is he not getting fired?? On the other hand, they who want spectacular signings and trades might not be dissapointed. 15. This is what rentals are ment for.
  16. I believer in Östlund, I think he and Kulich will be a top line duo in three to four years. Rosén and Savoie can be used in trades.
  17. Absolutely, a real hockey trade, a center for a center. If Lindholm is willing to sign for five years at 8m I would not hesitate. But Couturier or Jenner or Danault can be fine too.
  18. Great minds think alike or something?? I was thinking about trading Thompson also. I just could not deside wheter it is a good or a bad idéa. I haven't hade time to figure out what we could ask in return, but Elias Lindholm popped up right now, he is a player that would get the job done.
  19. You are right, I somehow tought he had turned 19, my bad.
  20. A goaltender, I would go for Lankinen. Pesce, Connor Murphy or Tanev as top pair RHD. Other options Martinez, Brodie, Carrier. Alec Regula, Providence, great stats in AHL, as a 7th D might be worth the gamble, but never seen him play. I earlier wrote that Vegas might be in trouble with cap space. Another deal with them for a heavy forward with PK talents should be considered. Same for Carolina, but they are not that heavy. A third line C. Sign Mitts, and move Cozens to the wing, Benson to AHL and a new center to the third line. Jenner, Henrique, Pageau, Granlund...
  21. Player development doesn't seem to be on the right path... One thing for sure, Appert is not the one who should replace Granato.
  22. Change draft tactics from drafting the best player available to drafting the one who who has the strongest will to win of the topp players! IF they are big or small or whatever should not matter, we want winners!
  23. I agree. And to connect to PerreaultForevers post also, if we want to trade for something good, the packade we send in return has to be great...
  24. First. I did not think we need to overreact and blow everything up again. Things might have gone better than expected last year, so then this was the year when all the misstakes and bad plays are appearing, Ducks third goal the other evening was this season in a nutshell. For me it was not unexpected and I am convinced that they will turn things around and make the play off next year even if KA would not make one single trade. Then. I started thinking some steps further. Do we want to be a team that just make it to the play offs (like Leafs), or do we want to be a serious contender? Do we have players that can make Sabres a contender? That can be Conn Smythe winners? No we do not have those type off players. I would not want this team to be blown up again. Is there any way to become a contender without doing that?
