  1. I think Montreal will have big problems in defensive zon, both on pk and 5v5. Players like Dvorak, Armia and Heineman are not flashy, but they did a dirty job that also should be done by someone. Habs will realize that pretty fast imo.
  2. Every Atlantic team, except Sabres, and some metro teams, are going to play a really tough game on Panthers to get them as many injuries and lost points as possible. Panthers know this, and they are not going to sit there waiting for punches to come, they probably, as it seems, hit first. Interesting season coming!
  3. Korpisalo was the first that came to my mind. There might be other and better options. However, he has looked good lately and seems to be healthy. I would definitely take him over Luukkonen in current situation, but we would still need to pay Luukkonen if we get another goalie, I can't see anyone take that contract.
  4. Really?? That much? Why does it feel like the same then?
  5. Lyon will definitely get the starters job. Levi should be backup until Luukkonen is ready. I really hope they are looking for goaltender upgrades. Georgiev is bad. Luukkonen has history with injuries. Levi has not proved anything in nhl yet. And Lyon is a backup, a reliable one, but still a backup. I don't know if either team would do a in division trade, but Korpisalo in Boston would do the job better than our current goalies.
  6. I think the talent (read Kid line) are more willingto pay attention to details If their position on the team is treatened. Better coaching might have helped also ofcourse.
  7. We have an expression here where I live, that says a bad dress rehearsal means a succesful premiere. The problems we have however seem the same as last year. Not surprising when very little has changed from last season.
  8. It is embarassing that Adams has stayed this long and still hasn't succeeded in building a well balanced roster.
  9. They have Daniil Tarasov as backup. I watched a recap of a preseason game where he played and have to say he looked great.
  10. With Tkachuk back they still have over 5milj in cap space. But their prospect pool is weak and they don't have a first rounder until 2028. That's what I find interesting. What can Zito do with nothing when Adams can do little with all assets he's got.
  11. Not sure he is ready for first round with a timeline like that. Leafs might beat them this year. If they make it to playoff. Interesting to see what Zitos next move is.
  12. Georgiev did a Georgiev, mixed boneheaded and weak play with some great sades.
  13. Team Finland can say goodbye to medals at the Olympics
  14. Hope they play him with Timmins next game to put some preasure on Samuelsson.
  15. Interesting fact on Jarkko Ruutu is that he had absolutely fantastic grades from school. Something that might be hard to believe while remembering the way he was playing hockey.
  16. Not yet, but it is getting closer every day. ๐Ÿ˜†
  17. No!!!!! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
  18. This is horrible. So glad she got a new heart and hopefully can live a good life for decades. A relative of mine had a heart transplantation about two decades ago. He was in his twenties then. Today he has three kids and goes to work every day. So let's just hope for a similar scenario for Carolina and Rasmus. And have to say, Rasmus seem very committed to have success with this team showing up ready on training camp after all that.
  19. They are going to bring back The three headed monster!
  20. Like that song.
  21. I don't have a team I hate, but a team with Ovi on is a team I hope would get zero publicity.
  22. 1. Goalie, and I assume UPL will be back on track to start the season. The question is how long will he keep it together, what does it take to break him again? 2. and 3. Kesselring and Byram. They will be paired with Power and Dahlin and get over 20min each every game. Kesselring is new to me, I just know he is big, shoots hard, but is unexperinced. Byram is a great puckmover that had a hard time on defense last season. He finds himself out of position way to often and I have wanted to see him traded for a player that has defensive positioning in the DNA for two summers. If Kesselring and Byram can show us a defensive game at a level of a top4 D wingman. And UPL is back on track to play at his best. Then we might be playing meaningful games in April.
  23. I think they have improved and will be better, how much better is hard to predict, we'll see. Just as an example, what I think made Montreal a playoff team was that they had better match-ups, they had players that would give StLouis the possibility to have a player like Laine on the ice and use him on PP, even if he was a disaster 5v5. I think they are worse there this season and it will be very interesting how it affects on Habs overall play. I don't see Habs as improved as many other, just because of that. I sure think Sabres look more like a Ruff-team now, I am just not convinced that they have the experience and disciplin to play as he wants them to. And talking about Ruff, I expected him to be better to adjust his coaching to the material he had to work with, that was a dissapointment.
  24. How they compose lines to match opponents top6-lines bothers me. They didn't get the job done last season and I think they still are too unexperinced this season. Do they have lines that can shut down other teams top lines? My answer would be No.
