Like that song.

I don't have a team I hate, but a team with Ovi on is a team I hope would get zero publicity.

1. Goalie, and I assume UPL will be back on track to start the season. The question is how long will he keep it together, what does it take to break him again? 2. and 3. Kesselring and Byram. They will be paired with Power and Dahlin and get over 20min each every game. Kesselring is new to me, I just know he is big, shoots hard, but is unexperinced. Byram is a great puckmover that had a hard time on defense last season. He finds himself out of position way to often and I have wanted to see him traded for a player that has defensive positioning in the DNA for two summers. If Kesselring and Byram can show us a defensive game at a level of a top4 D wingman. And UPL is back on track to play at his best. Then we might be playing meaningful games in April.

I think they have improved and will be better, how much better is hard to predict, we'll see. Just as an example, what I think made Montreal a playoff team was that they had better match-ups, they had players that would give StLouis the possibility to have a player like Laine on the ice and use him on PP, even if he was a disaster 5v5. I think they are worse there this season and it will be very interesting how it affects on Habs overall play. I don't see Habs as improved as many other, just because of that. I sure think Sabres look more like a Ruff-team now, I am just not convinced that they have the experience and disciplin to play as he wants them to. And talking about Ruff, I expected him to be better to adjust his coaching to the material he had to work with, that was a dissapointment.

How they compose lines to match opponents top6-lines bothers me. They didn't get the job done last season and I think they still are too unexperinced this season. Do they have lines that can shut down other teams top lines? My answer would be No.

To me it sounds like Ducks want the same for McTavish as we got back for JJ.
-
Typical offseason rumours, but I read somewhere that the price is starting from a combination of draftpick, prospect and a young RHD that fits the line-up right away.

Kekäläinen will be assistant GM for Team Finland during the olympics.

A lot of the progress will be depending on how young men in their early twenties spend their summer. No need to worry. At all. We will be fine.

Thinking there might be some big trades still to come. I doubt they involve Sabres even if we have assets to trade with. Seems like the McTavish situation with Ducks, and the fact a lot of teams with cap space and assets to trade with need a top6 upgrade on C, has the trade market on hold.

"The model för all non-traditional NHL markets". It really was wild. Interesting read. Thanks.

The sort of journalism I really dislike. -
Is Adams done with his "overhaul" of the Sabres 25-26 roster?
SabreFinn replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
Östlund, Rosen and Kulich's Corsi is interesting, any theory why they are that high? -
Really? I like him!

I think Ratzlaff, maybe Strbak might become something, the rest seem like longshot of them outside top 10

Panarin on the trade block per local FAN radio report
SabreFinn replied to North Buffalo's topic in The Aud Club
Panarins ability to create plays in O-zone is something amazing. His defensive game is... Well, he hasn't done that the games I have watched Rangers, he loses the puck and he stops skating. -
Thinking a big reason signing Danforth is so we don't have to bring up players from Rochester and put them in situations meant for veterans.

The offseason so far - Are the Sabres better?
SabreFinn replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
There are a lot of players on Sabres contracts that need to have one helll of an offseason and one hell of a season for us to make the playoff. The roster has not been improved so it is up to the players to make some progress. On the other hand, our biggest rivals in Atlantic has not improved much either. And it would be surprising if there are more than one wild card team from Metro, most likely there are none. All my hopes are not gone yet.
