Not more than one point from a wild card spot is not a total disaster to start the season. It's okey but not more than that and we should have won two of the last three. If they can be one point from a wild card spot by thanksgiving I think they are doing well, the schedule is getting much more challenging the next two months.

It seems Adams and his staff has made a big misjudgement about the direction the league is heading into and what sort of players it favors. I can't come up with any other reason why they have drafted the way they did. He has failed, no doubt about that. I am absolutely sure if Kekäläinen replaces Adams we get better drafting, what I am not sure about is if I trust him retool this team.

It is easy to say after a game but I think they should have kept UPL in Rochester for the two weeks and given this game to Levi. Three points against Leafs is a good result and it seems they have a better two way game than I’ve seen in a while. Now just keep taking points.

I would not put Ellis on waivers before we know UPL can play, stay healthy and make saves against NHL players. Rather the three headed monster until that.

I recently read somewhere that Edmonton might be forced to trade Emberson. Might be an interesting rhd to put on a third pair if the suggested trade Power for a forward straight up would happen.

Don't think we should trade him before we've seen how he plays with Kesselring. He or Byram is the player that should bring us a tenacious forward. Sad thing is that Matthew Schaefer probably already is better than him.

On to next game. We win the rest against Habs this season. Some relief from injury hell would be nice though.

StLouis has been playing Laine on their 4th line and their 2nd pp unit. He does not look good at all. I don’t think the injury will keep him out for long, but it is possible he is a healthy scratch soon unless he improves his game. Look out for another finn instead, Oliver Kapanen, he has been great this far. And of course Ivan Demidov is absolutely amazing.

There is a impressive year for the swedes. There is also Bjork, Hermansson and Nordmark. But Stenberg is the best.

Few young players has made an impression on me like Ivar Stenberg. Can't wait to watch him play in WJC.

Might have been a smart move by Ducks waiting this long waiving Husso. He is a goalie that I expect to have a bounce back season if he get the chance. Really frustrating this Sabres goalie cirkus right now. Husso had been great. Don’t know anything about this Ellis, just hoping we once would be lucky. At leasy they have done a good job with their goaltenders in StLouis.
