For 8 million $$$, 12 ES points(including just 1 goal) in 34 games is a joke. That is not top 6 production in any way, shape or form. I would have expected Hall and Reinhart to step up and produce in Jack's absence. They have both failed.

Unless the new FO/coaching staff figures out a way to make Skinner a useful part of the top 6, he will be a boat anchor chewing up 11% of the cap for the next 6 years. 11 friggin percent. 😡

The trade deadline is two weeks away. Is there any precedent for teams sitting players that they are going to send away at the TDL, two entire weeks prior...and then they will be sitting another week quarantining for their new team?

I don’t want to wait for a bidding war or last minute deal on TDL day. GTFO now. I don’t care what the return is...and I really hope that if they did have a thought of re-signing him, that they have come to their senses. I said it before, everywhere he goes he brings a stink with him...EDM, NJ, ARI and this ECHL team.

You're assuming he wants to re-sign here? If I was him, I'd at least wait to see how the 1st week of F/A looks this summer. Who wouldn't want to get out of dodge right about now.

I don't think there is any way you get a 1st + Debrusk, even if you retain. I'd settle for a good prospect, and maybe a 2nd or 3rd. Not sure if his down year will bring much more of a return for a 30 year old with 12 years of NHL wear and tear on his body.

...and hopefully there will be a few more picks added to 2021 or 2022 draft pick total if Hall, Montour and other UFA's are unloaded at the TDL. I am beating a dead horse, but the more picks the better. You never know what you mind find in the mid or late rounds.

There is fault with the Sabres for signing him, and fault with Skinner for being a freelancer. I know Botts is gone, but the Pegula's signed off on the deal, Skinner is basically unmovable, and they are not buying him out unless a compliance buyout magically appears in the next year or two. Therefore, is is really a better use of his skill set to be on the 4th line instead of the top 6?

Wrong in his usage? Yes! He is a defensive liability and they knew that when he was signed for 9 mil per. He is not the only top 6 forward in the NHL who sucks in his own end. They are stuck with him, and if the best answer is to play him on the 4th line with NHL scrubs, then the HC needs to be fired.

There has been a lot of rumbling about an agreement between McD/Beane and the Pegula's, including that they have it in their contracts for the Pegula's to "stay away from football matters", but I highly doubt that is the case. It has been reported in the last few years that Terry has been at the scouting combine, and I'm sure he meets with Beane on at least a regular basis...maybe not as much with McD.

Skinner remaining on the 4th line is a joke. Does the green GM realize that he can tell the interim HC that Skinner isn't going anywhere, and put him in the top 6 for at least 10 games. Granato can GTFO as soon as the season is over.

Until they lowball him, and RB needs to explain the life of a HC in the NHL.

If and it’s a big IF, Rutherford and Karmanos are hired, I wonder how Adams ego will handle it? More experienced guys above and below him. Does he use it as a learning experience to help with his growth, or does he go running to Kim if he feels he is being overruled too much? Enquiring minds want to know!
