So early indications is we all think Anderson gives the Sabres the best chance to win against Boston (including myself). Is this a statement game where we need to go that way? Just thinking that if Anderson is our best chance to win…maybe he goes Tuesday because it’s the best chance at two points? I am still Comrie Tuesday and Andy Thursday, but if they’re flipped I’m fine with it. Sure but what about the next week? That’s what the poll is about. Sorry if that wasn’t more clear.

Based on how long the trade saga has been going, I think you’re right that they’re overplaying their hand and asking for more than market value. I agree there’s simply no way Quinn is involved in this trade.

I’m quoting you because I like the discussion. I think you’re right. The Sabres are timid along the boards and don’t push the puck forward out of the zone well at all. They keep the play moving along the wall, but a lot of time it is backwards. Ice the freakin puck if you must. To me, that’s better than on your heels in your own corner.

My main issue with UPL is rebound control. Also, I’m honestly trying to wipe the slate clean and only judge what I see from game to game, but I live in ROC and I’ve seen him a lot. UPL never had it here. I’m not giving up on him, but I think it would be generous to say he’s NHL average right now. If the goal is UPL’s long term development at the expense of this season, we can hope he gets hot. But I don’t expect it. If the goal is to get in the playoffs, I think the Sabres are better served sticking to the original Andy/Comrie plan. One thing I will say is I don’t want to spend assets to acquire a goalie in the next seven days. UPL should get every chance at the #1 spot next year.

Moneypuck projects the Sabres playoff chances are 47% and their points projection is 91. 538 also projects 91 points with a 43% chance of making the playoffs. Something called Power Rankings Guru also predicts 91 points for the Sabres. So is 91 points going to be enough?? If yes, all Buffalo needs to do is finish something like 13-12-1 (or 12-10-3).

I have no stats to back this up. I’m just wondering if our coaching staff is more conservative with on-game lineup decisions on the road (first change) than at home? And at home they’re being more aggressive for offense first and it is backfiring? Like I said, I have no data. I wouldn’t know where to start. But it’s one of the only on-ice differences and it would be interesting to know how things vary between in-game line starts Home v Away.

My baby mama had a C-Section. So shortly after they lifted the bambino out, I got to share the sex (boy!) to my wife (we didn’t find out prior). After the immediate baby checkups, they wheeled my wife away for post-op. Soon after, they handed me my boy. And it was just me and him quiet and alone at 4am. Open eyes. Just him and me. Whether immediate or not, you’re going to have that too. Take that time to pace around and make some promises to your child. I promised that hour old little hooligan he can stay up an extra 15 minutes anytime a Sabres game is on. I’m not kidding. And also some more important stuff.
