  1. I recently cut the cord...so no cable for me...don't miss it...but I've seen that movie over 100 times.
  2. My correction. Buffalo beat washington 14-2 in 75-76. The year the Caps went 8-67 was in 74-75, their expansion year. Problem with our worst version team of 20-21, is we've been in existence for over 50 years...and we're playing worse than an expansion team.
  3. Say whatever you want, dis team doesn't allow double digit scores. I saw the Sabres destroy the Capitals 14- 2 in 1974...dat was the worst team I ever saw...8-67-5.
  4. I was working in a camera shop in the 1990s when Irv Weinstein walked in. I ended up waiting on Irv and commented about the recently-retired Rick Azar, saying that he really aged gracefully. To that Irv said: "Do you mean that I'm not aging gracefully?" RIP Rick, a class act.
  5. I say forfeit the rest of this season. We don't have a chance in any of these games.
  6. If Covid resolves and we get a normal 2021-2022 season starting in October...(insert laugh here)...I can think of at least one way to improve the Sabres without doing a thing. Change to a less competitive division. Wash, NYR, NYI, Pitt, Phil NJD, Bos, etc. in the northeast region all have our number. In addition, if the divisions ever get back to normal, TO, MTL and OTT should probably beat the crap out of us for the foreseeable future. Back in the Buffalo Bisons AHL days, they were in the Western Division. I don't see why Buffalo can't be moved to a division where they'd be more competitive, maybe even a bottom feeders division.
  7. Johannson just got his first shutout in his career the other night. So what does Colorado do? They acquire Devan Dubnyk the next day. So now Johannson's down to #3.
  8. Any money Krueger goes back to soccer after this Buffalo gig.
  9. Any Over/Under on how many games the Sabres win the rest of the season? I say three.
  10. I wonder if Dahlin would be a better forward. i
  11. There was an interesting quote by the new coach of the Flames Darryl Sutter. Last night his team lost 7-3 to Edmonton. What he said IMO sounds like the kind of message the historically goal-challenged Sabres need to hear...
  12. I know some/most of you don't like Hamilton, but in his latest column I thought there were some interesting and revealing nuggets Many of us heard about Krueger, or whoever ran practices, not calling offsides in practice. We wonder why the Sabres can't complete simple passes like all the other NHL teams do...but I had no idea that many of these players don't know who Gilbert Perreault is. That blows my mind. These players need to be identified and jettisoned. I hate mercenaries and that's what many of "our" guys and perhaps Krueger, had in common.
  13. PA, you djdn't mention that the new head coach will first have to be approved by Eichel.
  14. If the reason for existence of the Buffalo Sabres is to win a Stanley Cup, then should the Sabres even exist?
  15. I won't believe it until I see it. I've had the rug pulled out from under me too many times with this team. One thing that I believe is that if Krueger is fired, the Sabres Pegulas will follow their counter-intuitive M.O. and hire another leader(s) with little to no NHL experience. They think they're smarter than everybody else but in reality, they're stupid and they never learn.
  16. Vesey, Byron and Grigorenko all on waivers today...https://www.tsn.ca/toronto-maple-leafs-jimmy-vesey-montreal-canadiens-paul-byron-on-waivers-1.1608551
  17. As long as Kim Pegula is in charge, nothing is going to change.
