I would take a shot at signing Freddie Andersen and punting UPL. Andersen gets hurt but he’s a hell of a goalie when he can play. Get a couple quality defensive Dmen. Biggest thing is change up the coaching staff. Someone who excels at special teams and a D coach that can implement structure.

This is a great year to trade the pick. I just don’t want Adams to be the one trading it.

I don’t want Ruff leading hockey ops myself but if I had to choose between Adams and Ruff at this point I’d go Ruff. We’ve seen what Adams has done and if Terry isn’t going to be bothered bringing in a qualified person for the role I would rank Ruff over Adams. But I don’t think either is a good choice.👍

That’s exactly what is was. Adams lies everytime he states there are no financial restraints on him. Ruff was brought in but had to keep the entire coaching staff including bringing Appert up from Rochester who was already under contract. Couple that with not spending to the cap or using any cap space to broker deals and gain assets and it is clear.

Earlier in the year there were a lot of reports that they were trying to attach Demko to EP in any potential move. He has one year left on his deal. From Vancouver’s perspective they might see UPL as a goalie entering his prime that needs change of scenery compared to a guy who has been injured, has 1 year left of team control.

The Same Old Situation. Adams doesn’t have a clue and him as GM or President changes nothing. Adams as President is simply him listening to Terry and telling the GM what Terry wants. No one worthwhile will touch that position. So we get Karmanos or Forton or Ventura as GM just listening to Kevyn tell him what to do so nothing changes at all.
