Goaltending Suddenly A Bright Spot For Sabres?
Flashsabre replied to bob_sauve28's topic in The Aud Club
If Anderson comes back it will be interesting to see what they do with UPL. Do they keep him up or send him down? -
The Pegulas are about trust and communication. They felt burned by Murray and Botts. Adams is their man. If there ever was going to be a President of Hockey Ops it would be putting the title on Adams and Karamos would be GM. They aren’t bringing anyone else in to directly report to them that hey don’t know and fully trust.

It’s ok I have never respected any of your hockey takes. Merry Christmas!

I literally have no clue what you are mumbling about.

What are you on about?

I hope they aren’t selling. If they want to bring in a partner great but I think they finally have things in place and the train is moving in the right direction. If the Sabres are in on Chychrun then it is probably coming from Pegula. They are (or were) neighbours with the Chychruns and I believe that Murray passing on him was the beginning of the rift between Murray and the Pegulas. Chychrun is having a down her but he is a good talent who brings a gritty aspect to the game. Samuelsson Dahlin Chychrun Joker Power Pysyk/Fitzgerald Johnson, Portillo and Fla 1st for Chychrun Final Offer😁

The difference is the Sabres haven’t been shutdown because their team has multiple cases. My complaint is teams that have been paused for multiple cases shouldn’t be sending players down.

Getting the AHL package was a good choice this year. Getting to watch the kids develop has been fun. They have put together just the type of AHL team you should want. Enough good vets that the team will be competitive with some high end kids that can develop and learn from the vets and also carry the mail when need be. I scratch my head at Appert’s system sometimes but they are a fun group to cheer for. Peterka seems at his best when he is using his electric wheels to blow by defenders and use his rocket shot. Where he struggles right now is when the puck is on his stick and he has to slow down and make decisions with it. That will come more with experience and the AHL is the right level to work on that. To me Quinn, Krebs, Peterka, Samuelsson and UPL are future key pieces at the NHL level. Murray, Laaksonen and Fitzgerald are guys that will play in the NHL but their impact might not be as great(bottom 6 or 3rd pair guys) Pekar might make a 4th line down the line. Can’t get a real handle on Biro yet. He is small but talented. Might be a good AHLer, might get a look. Behind the bench I don’t know what to think of Appertains. Have high hopes for Peca making his way up to Buffalo eventually in a coaching role. Weber too. Nice to see Murray and UPL already developing, moving up and having an impact in Buffalo. Shows the system is working.

I find this asinine. Panthers were shutdown so they let Knight go down to Charlotte. Talk about stupid. Shouldn’t all the players be isolating if there are enough cases to shut a team down. Not walking into another dressing room full of players.
-
Lance said Anderson watched practice from the bench in full gear and a yellow jersey. Definately sounds like he isn’t considering shutting it down and that we could see him back in the next little while.

What I love about Krebs is that besides the offensive chops is the busting his ass back on the backcheck to break up a play or cover a guy to take away a prime option. That and the will to stick his nose in along the boards and all the dirty areas. His game reminds me of Gilmour. Never the flashiest but skill+work ethic+heart makes him a difference maker all over the ice.

Krebs should have 4 points tonight.

Some people want some more physical play but there are some that want Ted Nolan coaching Ray, May, Barnaby , Boughner in 2021.😬

Bills tackling has been horrendous today

Alex Tuch Scheduled to Make His Sabres Debut on 12/20
Flashsabre replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
And in classic Sabres fashion Tuch is in but Thompson might be out. Game 77 might be the one we get a full lineup.🤪 Really looking forward to Tuch. For the first time in a long time the 2022 Sabres could be a big club. Tuch, Tage, Cozens, Murray, Power, Samuelsson are all very big, skilled players. -
No worries with Krebs. He is a player. Needs a finisher to finish off his setups.

That was a hell of a character point there. This team is everything Krueger tried to tell us his team was but could never get them to be. Hats off to Subban, hell of a game. Fitz was inspired tonight, hope he gets a long look. Dahlin is starting to consistently impact games. Don’t know how long Mitts is out for but him and Tuch anchoring another line would be very nice in the 2nd half.

Comparing Dahlin and Power, we're not there yet
Flashsabre replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
Dahlin, Power, Joker, Samuelsson, Johnson is by far the most talented young D group this franchise has ever had. Watching them develop will be a lot of fun. It will be natural for Power v Dahlin debates but I’m just happy e have both.
