  1. This isn’t a year for anyone to have a meltdown. There are a bunch of players all in the same general area. No one really stands out. Its going to be fascinating to see how the top 10 plays out. The Sabres will have some interesting options at #9 and there will be a couple players available that some probably didn’t think would be there. A couple years ago I got caught up in the Rossi tunnel vision and couldn’t believe when they took Quinn. I learned a lesson. I trust this staff will pick a good player at #9, someone who fits the culture and is talented,
  2. There’s a 3 year old I hear might be a phenom. We should just wait 15 more years and make a run for him. Could possibly have a chance to be good in 2037 but that might be rushing it too.
  3. https://thehockeywriters.com/2022-nhl-draft-guide/ A good site for those that want to dive in to the draft.
  4. Or we can actually get better now. 11 years of waiting is more then enough waiting.
  5. Canada with the massive comeback to stun the Swedes. Down 3-0 in the 3rd, wins it in OT. Cozens was very good but needs to work on that shot to snipe more. Asplund and Dahlin were named players of the tournament for Sweden.
  6. Here is my controversial offseason take. IF the Leafs need to move Nylander for cap I would take a run at him. I would have him play centre with Asplund and VO as a 2nd line. He is coming into his own and will not be a centre in Toronto. Point per game player last year and the Leafs best playoff player the past 2 seasons. I would offer to take Mrazek as part of the deal and put him in Rochester. They want cap space and a young dman that can play. I’m not giving up Quinn, JJ, Krebs etc. I would offer #16 and Joker for Nylander and Mrazek. Would throw in Portillo as a sweetener if needed. I then sign a couple UFA RHD that are defensively responsible and can add some grit. Willy is not his brother and has a good rep as a teammate. I think he would fit in well in the room and would breakout even more as a centre here.
  7. Good run and great development for the kids. They played hard for what they had as a lineup. Quinn was snake bitten. He had chances but couldn’t bury. He will learn from it. JJ and Krebs were fantastic throughout the playoffs. Too bad Muel and UPL couldn’t play any games. R2 made a case for himself but I don’t know where he would fit on the Sabres.

  9. Hopefully UPL can go Wednesday. Switch it up. I can’t watch Dell anymore.
  10. This game is over. Game 3 is over and the Sabres have been eliminated from next year’s playoffs. Try to keep up.😜😀
  11. Dell makes Every Single Shot look like it is going to go in. My God.
  12. Pounding drinks at the arena an hour early, SOLID!! Let’s Go Amerks!
  13. I have never seen a goalie get beat as many times off of face offs as Dell. I don’t know if he loses his angles or what but every time there is a defensive face off I cringe.
  14. It looks like Quinn is slowly coming out of his funk. He is getting more chances and hopefully buries one to get him going. It is great to see Krebs, JJ, Quinn etc getting this experience as well as Cozens coming on at the Worlds.
  15. I have to admit that I do love watching Cozens and Dubois playing together at the Worlds. That would be a long term playoff line. If you knew what Dubois would want on a long term deal then I would definitely consider it.
  16. 9-6 with Chris Cuthbert doing the play by play. They took a time machine back to the 1980s and I loved it!😀
  17. What did they offer up in the trade?
  18. Calgary are making up for all the goals they couldn’t against Dallas. This could be a 10-8 1980s special
  19. I called them and told them you weren’t impressed. They said to hold their beers.😁
  20. It’s not going to happen unless Calgary get up by 4 or 5 late.
  21. It is 3-1 less then 10 minutes in. What are you talking about?
  22. No, nothing yet. It is a big ring here. Steal/ carjack high end cars and ship them overseas where they sell for good money.
  23. The thought has always been that playoffs are big boy hockey. Big, skilled players make the difference. NHL front offices believe that. That is why I think both Gauthier and Geekie will be picked before #9.
  24. Pronman’s mock draft has the Sabres taking Savoie at #9 and Yurov at #16.
