I have followed the draft since the early 90s and I would bet this season would be the most volatile and if you lined up every team’s draft board and compared them that each one would be wildly different. Between Covid and lack of playing time for some leagues the past few years and the Russia situation it all leads to very divergent views on players from each team.

You deserve to get blasted at this point. Let It Go. What was the deal he was willing to sign? He walked away for a better situation, disappointed them when it counted to the point they turned to their other goalie and are looking to move Ullmark after a single season. The guy is injury probes on top of it.

Based on nothing but your opinion

In my mind Adams has a secret team of scientists and engineers working in a lab in the bowels of the arena actively building a bionic knee for Bishop and he will announce come September that Bishop is healthy and has never looked better.😁

Pitt: Mario, Jagr, Crosby, Malkin etc and Edmonton: Gretzky, Messier, Kurri, Coffey, McDavid, Draisaitl have capped out on generational and superstar players.😀 So Rosen is a bust already. Wow that was quick. Wonder why they signed him for Rochester if his career is basically over.

Pittsburgh Hockey Now: “It’s shocking, if not a bit embarrassing. It has been seven years since the Penguins drafted an NHL regular. Yep, in 2015 the Penguins selected…Dominik Simon. The Penguins have whiffed in every draft since. That’s costing them a lot of salary cap space, too. Pittsburgh Penguins draft-day woes.” Just find the Pens draft list and don’t draft anyone they are interested in.😛

The physical copy of the book. I looked at it the other day.

Hockey News is out now

I missed the memo that teams can only make one move per offseason. Better players on the team make it more attractive to potential free agents, goalies included.

https://hockeyprospect.com/2022-nhl-draft-rankings/ HockeyProspect’s Black Book is considered the Gold Standard for draft guides but they have been a mess this year with their rankings. At one point they had Chelsey at #2 and now not even in the first. Their last ranking they had Geekie #2 now he is #23. I didn’t agree with him at #2 but if you rank him there and then drop him to #23 when his game didn’t change to end the year then it makes the whole thing comical. Really interested to see how Bobby Mac’s list shakes out. It is usually the best barometer of what teams are thinking.

To play Devil’s advocate: Reasons it could happen this year: 1) Kane would help the team on the ice in a big way. He put up 90+ points on a bad team. 2) Which leads to getting people in the building. More buzz, team playing better, hometown boys Kane and Tuch helping lead the charge 3) Adding Kane would help attract some free agents that might be on the fence or leaning no towards Buffalo. 4) Sabres can make it work with the cap. 5) Here’s the biggest reason: If Terry wants it to happen. We’ve waited11 years, let’s not make it 12 without the playoffs. Don’t know where his mindset is now especially with Kim’s situation but it might simply come down to Terry wants it to happen so it’s going to happen. If the acquisition cost is as low as TomWebster thinks it is then pull the trigger. Get more buzz around these young guys. Grab a legit goalie and make a run at the playoffs.

It is too hard to choose, can we just give all those assets up for Kane.🤣🤣 Unlike some, I would love to see Patrick Kane close his career out in Buffalo. But I’m not giving up any quality young pieces for him with the age, contract and UFA status upcoming.

Imagine when they draft him 9th😜

Yeah, you don’t pass on a talent like Savoie if he falls.

Sorry to hear about your father. Hope for good health. Nice work. I think in reality Gauthier replaces Nazar at 6th or even higher come draft day. I think Kasper will be in the conversation at #9. One of Savoie, Kasper or Nazar might be the pick depending on how the board falls.

Updated Sabres Prospect Pool 2021 and beyond

For clarification, this is for next year’s team and not the tournament to be replayed in August this year. -
https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/sportsnets-2022-nhl-draft-prospect-rankings-final-edition/ Final Sportsnet rankings. I found the comment on Nazar interesting that offence doesn’t come naturally to him. Haven’t seen that one before.
-
I am thinking one of Gauthier (most likely gone) Savoie or Nazar are the pick at #9 come draft day.

“so apologies if the length here is obnoxious.” God if I had a nickel for every time I told a woman that.😛😂

Updated Sabres Prospect Pool 2021 and beyond

I wouldn’t be shocked that in another year if Peca and Weber are flanking Granato on the Sabres bench. I think Adams wants to have a strong Buffalo connection in the organization. He has a lot of character guys like Mair, Ellis, Peca, Weber all involved in roles. Not to mention Tim Kennedy I’m skills development. Jay McKee has Hamilton in Game 7 in the OHL finals. He might be another guy brought into the fold down the line. And I have no problem with this, these are all guys with high character, high work ethic and leadership that have pride in the Sabres organization. -
https://draftprospectshockey.com/draftpro-2022-nhl-draft-final-rankings/ Another day, another online draft ranking. I really think Gauthier is the McTavish of this draft and will go a lot higher then most of these sites rate him. I have a feeling that Savoie might be the guy who drops to #9. Whether the Sabres pick him will be another story.
