  1. https://mobile.twitter.com/pham1717/status/1316566150189404167 Paul Hamilton stating Reinhart has a bad attitude. It is Hamilton though.
  2. Try to find a team that wants Risto for a high pick and Miller for like a 3rd rounder. call St. Louis. They have no cap space and Dunn is an RFA. Trade a futures package for Dunn. call Arizona and offer a package of picks and prospects for Kuemper. Dahlin Montour Dunn Jokiharu McCabe Borgen is much more balanced and Kuemper/Ullmark is a huge upgrade in net. These moves would set them up to contend this year for a playoff run.
  3. Hall said he played golf with Skinner the other week and they workout together. Skinner is thrilled if anything.
  4. Hall Eichel Gaudreau for all the entertainment value😜
  5. Risto and Montour for Savard and Korpisalo😀
  6. Now go get Kuemper, Raanta or Korpisalo and we are talking. I have a feeling that Bryson is going to push for a LHD position this year. One of Risto, Miller, Montour, plus Mitts, Asplund, Johnson, Davidsson, Hutton (if anyone would take him) would all be pieces to move to upgrade in net and anywhere else. Hall Eichel Oloffson (he has played RW before and is set up for the one timer) Skinner Staal Reinhart is as good a top 6 as the Sabres have had in years
  7. Show of hands, who woke up this morning and had the Sabres signing Taylor Hall and Leafs signing Vesey?😀
  8. Apparently Armstrong in Arizona has been told to cut $15 million. Yikes, how do they do that in a market where other teams don’t want to take on money. OEL staying really screws them up. One or both of their goalies have to be up for trade, even Keller at $7 million might have to be in play. They would love to move Kassel but is anyone taking him or Stephan?
  9. Savard is a guy I have been hoping they would look at especially since the rumours are that Columbus has made him available. Savard+ one of their goalies would be a huge move for the Sabres.
  10. That would be something but none of it would matter if the goalie tandem is the same. I think in that case you would have to not sign Toffoli and use some of that money on an upgrade in net and a cheaper winger (like a Craig Smith) And one question: was this a Botts deal or was it all Adams after he came in?
  11. So was this the deal you were sitting on? Something like Monahan+Gaudreau for Reinhart+Risto/Montour+
  12. This is an angry response, not a rational one. You can love Rossi, I liked him and wanted him at 8 but let’s not get crazy. There is no guarantee that a 5’9 centre becomes a superstar and that a 50 goal scorer that drove his own line becomes a bum.
  13. I wanted Rossi too but Quinn is a star prospect as well. 52 goals in junior driving his own line. If the guy can be a 40 goal scorer who is strong defensively then that is a star player.

  15. The link is much stronger than that. “The Red Wings, of course, have the fourth pick despite having by far the league’s worst record this season. The team already has a relationship with Perfetti. Detroit’s amateur scouting director, Kris Draper, is partners with Brandon Bordeaux, whose family has billeted Perfetti for the last two seasons, Wings senior vice president Jimmy Devellano and former Detroit goalie and Red Wings TV analyst Chris Osgood have an ownership stake in the Spirit. And Perfetti has been working out with former Detroit conditioning coach Pete Renzetti.“
  16. Drysdale has also interviewed 3 times with Detroit

Which goalie are you trading #8 for? Which goalie is worth a top 10 pick and is going to singlehandedly propel this team? There are a ton of quality goalies available this offseason. Sign one or trade for one from a team trying to dump salary. Fix the defensive structure and the team will be much more successful.
  18. Whoever the Sabres pick at #8, some people will bitch about the pick while others will complain they should have traded it😀

From Elliotte Friedman I wouldn’t get my hopes up for those wishing the Sabres trade#8. They will improve the team without moving #8. DRAFT DEALS A pseudo “trade deadline” arrives somewhere around 9 p.m. Tuesday. Teams holding picks in the top half of a draft that features multiple prospects with high-end potential aren’t making those selections available via trade, but there could be some movement in the bottom half. Toronto (15), Montreal (16), New Jersey (18 or 20) and Ottawa (28, plus four more picks in Wednesday’s second round) are among those willing to parlay a pick into immediate help if it makes sense. Those are valuable commodities in a league where cap space and controllable assets have become king. With a flat cap of $81.5-million for the foreseeable future, we’ve seen the likes of Olli Maatta and Nick Bjugstad basically given away in recent trades that freed up more operating room for Chicago and Pittsburgh, respectively. Actually parting with an asset? That should land you an even bigger name.

Who is this mythical player you are trading #8 for?
  21. Lehner signs 5 year deal with Vegas. No one is touching Fleury at $7 million. They might have to buy him out. The goalie market is absolutely flooded this offseason. Definitely a good year to upgrade in net.

“The primary goal, from an amateur scouting perspective, is simple: Select the players who best project to make an impact at the NHL level. Within that objective exists a goal to find players who fit Adams' organizational vision - namely, high-character individuals who are invested in reaching their potential.” With the 8th pick the Buffalo Sabres are proud to select from the Ottawa 67s, Marco Rossi.
  23. Debrusk and Rask’s names are out there and apparently Adams likes Matt Gryzlek. Maybe Bruins are trying to move salary to bring Krug back.
  24. If the stars align and the Sabres draft Rossi at 8 I have a feeling he could play this year behind Eichel and Staal. Craig Button stated Lafreniere and Rossi are the two players he sees playing in the NHL next season. The kid would be a great long term line-mate for Skinner. Tremendous playmaker and very good defensively. Could let Skinner freelance. Great the face off dot.
