@johnwawrow, why did none of the reporters ask Kevyn how he planned on spending the $20 million this team’s needs to spend to get to the cap floor next season. It was the one question I wanted answered and the one I thought would be asked. Even if Kevyn just gave a word salad it would give us some indication of his mindset on this.

Good game for Krebs. That is the type of development you want to see him get. Playing centre too. Quinn is going to need to get stronger. He was getting bodied off the puck to easily tonight. Fitz is a tweener. Can be a dominant AHL player but a 7th dman at the NHL level.

This is a scout’s draft. There is no absolute difference makers at the top of the draft like next year but there are a lot of solid guys right thru the second round. Most of the guys are kind of squeezed together so like others have said it is about picking the right guys. This is where the good scouting staffs make their hay. The last couple drafts are trending well so let’s hope the Sabres’ scouts have a good weekend.

Comrie is an interesting name to look at. That entire Jets organization will be interesting to watch this offseason to see where they go with that roster. Problem is the Sabres have to spend big money somewhere so throwing coin at a good goalie is the logical option. If thy spend somewhere else then Comrie would be someone to look at. He fits the age range that goalies come into their own.
