I don’t know if Benson is better than Savoie or not. I do know that they have dynamic chemistry together. If you are lucky enough to draft Benson then keep them together and profit. Find a big physical winger to play with them and you have a heck of a line. But if they draft Benson then that does open up a deal for an Östlund or Rosen.

Last time I checked there isn’t a limit on the amount of moves a team can make. The Sabres have tons of assets. Why not both. Maybe they will sign the dman in free agency.

I have a feeling if Michkov makes it to number 7 that the Sabres trade up to get him. Just the perfect storm of a chance to get a franchise player. You have to think the Sabres are all over it. Some may not like it but it lines up for their organization.

Bader’s Model is brutal. And he comes across as a guy that only believes his model and has no ability to step back and look at players from any other angle then his system.

That’s my point. If no one knows an assistant coach’s strengths then why argue over whether losing him is a huge issue. The “ he was a good player so he is a good coach” argument doesn’t work.

What are Peca’s strengths as an assistant coach? Why would he help improve the team’s record next year while other coaches wouldn’t?
