Their top 2 centres walking out the door together: Bergeron, Krejci- Briere, Drury The Sabres still had good pieces but those 2 loses were too much. Boston still have solid pieces but it will be impossible for them to replace what those two meant to the team as players and leaders.

Buffalo’s interest in Hellebuyck would be as a rental.Meaning they would want to pay rental prices. I’m sure Winnipeg wants a top goalie in the league like return and that is where the divide is. Leinonen just can’t stay healthy. This year is big for him to see if he can breakout. With Levi and now Ratzleff in the fold he becomes less important even though he was drafted high and ahead of some quality young players.

The Jets ask is diminishing by the day. They will not get anything close to their initial ask because there isn’t a market for him. If he had 2 years left at $6.5 sure they would get their preferred return. But with him becoming a UFA with a ridiculous ask on an extension they have found zero takers. If he is moved it will be as a pure rental at a reduced price. Like UPL and a pick as example. They can keep him for the year but he has stated he isn’t signing an extension in Canada so they are handcuffed.

He was injured at times but the reality was he didn’t have a good season.

I think there might be a little divide between how some people think Boosh played and how he actually played last season. This might have been Boosh reading the tea leaves and asking to be moved to somewhere that he could play a regular shift.
