Is "accountability" even possible in the Sabres organization?
MISabresFan replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
If your definition of a good hockey town is a team that draws fans and draws $$ then winning might be related to a good hockey town. -
Explains power play issues. I tried counting how many times they just cough up the puck. I hit 20 and then lost track, need a clicker.

GDT: Leafs @ Sabres, 12/20/24 - 7:00 PM, ESPN+/Hulu 📺, WGR550 📻

How can someone who runs anything not see any of this poop, while watching. Wow! The players have to be embarrassed if they have any pride at all. Everyone else in this organization has to be wondering if they will have a job. Running scared. I would pull an Arizona/Utah and start selling everything. Need to remove the doom and gloom surrounding this franchise. Something outrageous needs to happen to add some kind of spark to light any glimmer of hope. Might need to lean on the people responsible for the Bills turnaround to help (after the nfl season - which is never over) with the clean up. -
OMG, almost pissed myself - too funny

The Reality of our Head Coaching Situation
MISabresFan replied to Porous Five Hole's topic in The Aud Club
If that is the case - why would he take the job? No coach that is worth a poop, would be such a push over to allow the above to happen before you even sit behind the bench. -
there have been so many!

It is not easy, never coached at that level but in HS and College (baseball). It is a two way street - coach and GM (AD). Coach doesn't need to play the contracts just the best players. As a person / coach you have choices. Replace Cozens - depends on what Ruff is looking for from his players. There is always some one he can put in his place. We are all replaceable. Needs to communicate with the GM tell him - hey he has to go, I need this or that in a player, whatever it might be. Communicate and do not waiver - be consistant. They (players / locker room) will see right thru it if you dont.

The Detroit Farm club in Grand Rapids Michigan is a snoozer. I call it the after dinner crowd. They leave after the 2nd period and go to the bars downtown. The place to go for entertainment is in Muskegon the Lumber Jacks. Reminds me of the Bills games.

How many believe this team is normal. Not I, especially over the last 14 years. What is normal in the NHL? Playing athletes who provide the best chance to win vs choosing roster spots based on experience and contract amount? I say play the better player. My 3 cents.

Last night it appeared the team was enjoying it. Josh reminds me of the guy playing pick up fooball with his friends and neighbors. Never know what is going to happen!

LOL - so he was the right choice in a bogus hiring process. Wonder who would have been coach in a correct hiring process?

I think Ruff has lost touch with the way the game is played today. Look at the results. The one win in the first 10 is my expectation. He lost favor in NJ for a reason.

It is tough to take. This franchise had opportunities to make an impact, hire a quality GM, hire a quality winning coach, put a lineup together without concern for contracts. It is tough.

Exactly. He had both feet on the ground, he didnt leave the ground to pile on Rodgers.

It only took Detroit Lions - some 32 years to figure out the front office for success.
-
yes he did, typical KC style, head in one direction and then another using the talents of your team. He also had a pass thrown to him in the endzone and appeared to be out muscled for the ball. Interference was called but he still does not have the size. unfortunately those two players and teams will be tied to the hip when it comes to the media and even forum gossip.

Worthy seems to be more of an outside the redzone threat based on body size. Coleman more of a redzone size reciever. I believe both teams had a plan going into the draft on what they were looking for in a wideout. both got what they wanted. It will be interesting to see how each teams PLAN works out.

Tough decisions...The cigar I first got hooked on was the Hoyo Exalibur size #1. Just an outstanding smooth smoke that does change as it burns down. I love that size for a consistent burn and the time it takes to smoke. Great for the golf course or when you are steelheading. Currently a big fan of the Undercrown series of smokes and of course who couldn't turn down a Padron.

I never thought of that line as bottom six.

I remember a radio conversation they were having with Craig Button. He was addressing the differences in play between the AHL and NHL. He commented that in the AHL, players hold on to the puck longer than in the NHL. I wonder how that plays into player development. If a player shows up in camp and can play with the big boys, do you want to send him down and learn different skills?

Injuries in Training camp could cost you your job in the NFL. Claypool better suck it up, Maybe Kim should talk to him about life and shake him up a bit...
