I hope I am wrong. I think he (KA) is done with any other "big" moves based on his track record. It is not in his DNA. He made what he would consider a big trade, and he could not handle another one. All maxed out. He needs time to rest, grab an IV and recover. He needs time to absorb what he just did and think about it. Ponder, reminds me of Eeyore. Any other moves and it will mess up his plan to do what is best to improve this team. It will be fun to watch the rest of the NHL during the next few months as the Sabre's fade into the sunset. Not to be heard again but to read, they signed "x" to a two-way contract for $950,000. Oh, and KA might have to talk to Tage about it to make sure it is ok...

And be hard to play against.

Looks like St. Louis is in on Noah dobson not Byram. I would be too. Sabres could have landed Dobson for JJP.

There are now reports of other deals that KA passed on for JJP. One was Noah Dobson from NY.

I get it, trying to predict the future. I try to look at what the players have done in the past.

Red scores His benchmark skills show low shot blocking, low percent of shots on goal/shooting percentage, doesn't take penalties, battling skills are low, goals for is low, and has a high percentage of giveaways in the offensive zone. Defensively has high percentages of goals against (in a positive way) when on the ice, and a high Corsi rating.

It appears to be a change in direction from his original plan. Creating a pile of prospects with goal scoring in mind, switch to today/last year - getting players who are hard to play against and a bit tougher. (Problem - you need D and a goalie and better centermen, pretty weak down the middle.) Possibly another year or two of no playoffs, especially with KA's speed of making changes. Crystal ball - another 5 years goes by, other teams get good and creative with their rosters, and KA changes plan again to follow the trend... Rinse Repeat

Not sure he is a 2nd line D man and not sure on Doan as a 3rd line player. I hope it turns out differently and both play important minutes to push the team into the playoffs.

He can play on a line with Doan.

Trade a top line player in return for a 3rd line defenseman and 4th line player. It is hard to find good players in any professional sport. Buffalo traded a good player.

Internet mentioned Jarmo is removing himself from the Sabres. Apparently, he had a meeting with KA. K.A. cancelled, said he had something important to do to prepare for the Draft and Free Agency. Jarmo was curious and went to his office anyway. KA was watching Charlie Brown cartoons.
