  1. Washington just won both games of a back to back with the Devils and Islanders. I have patience but it runs out after New Years. No excuses. No caked in losses on back to backs.
  2. They’ll figure it out over there. They will make the playoffs.
  3. I knew losing Quinn was a bigger deal then we thought. Also KA - no team ever has drafted player after player and those guys with almost no changes to the roster go on to win the Cup. Believing you’ve drafted (Power, Dahlin, Cozens, Muel) or developed (Tage) 10 plus guys plus that are going to win you a Cup is not rational. Muel’s injuries are a problem. Best kind of reliability is availability. Not saying to trade him - but it’s getting ridiculous. Trades are going to have to happen that are going to shake this roster up in ways we weren’t expecting.
  4. Under 30% FO wins There is a clear and direct correlation when this team doesn’t play well with their continued inability to win draws.
  5. Winning 63 percent of face offs and dominating a game. They matter. They absolutely matter.
  6. True but I think they are. It’s the top line that isn’t producing that’s the problem. 2 goals in 4 games. 3 total points. Not sure what is going on.
  7. An absolutely great deal for team and player. Fantastic work KA! Our top 2 D men (one is a top 5 Dman in the league and Power is going to be there very soon) at 19 mill per year next 8 years is a steal. Edited - 8 years
  8. I look at individual play not so much the wins and losses. It’s a time to “figure things out” or tinker.
  9. Not remotely. Just make sure Mule stays healthy. Time to play the games. I’m still sad about Quinn. His loss is a big deal and I just really feel bad for him. I hope he comes back to full strength by October 2024 because I’m really not expecting anything from him this year I just want a full recovery. Not to throw him in during the heat of a playoff run.
  10. I agree. He’s in position to be the guy that saved the Bills, take the profits from that sale and focus completely on the Sabres. But the list of potential Loyal to Buffalo forever owners is probably …. Less then 5?
  11. I admit when I saw Duclair got traded today I was upset. Immediately thought they don’t think he’s going to be 100% during the remainder of his contract this season so trade him now and get something. And it’s not a big salary that they’re shedding. Maybe not part of the calculation/evaluation here by Florida but how could you rule that out?
  12. That they think Levi will be playing 50 plus games. He played how many games down the stretch in a row including back to back nights just 1 month removed from college? In a hectic race for the playoffs we haven’t seen in 12 years. They’ll bring someone in as a hopeful upgrade from UPL and Comrie I’m pretty sure. I think that’s the plan.
  13. I don’t think he plays much against top lines like Muel does. Muel plays over 22 minutes a game. Clifton around 17. Don’t get me wrong I think he can play there in a pinch all I’m saying is we are still looking for a partner for Power.
  14. I don’t think with those numbers he’s playing with Power. He’s a 5/6/7 guy on a Stanley Cup team - which is why this is a great signing. Get a Top 4 D. Goalie. Let’s go.
  15. Also tore his in the summer but he’s 34 RALEIGH, N.C. -- Carolina Hurricanes winger Max Pacioretty suffered a second tear of his right Achilles tendon, the team said. Pacioretty was placed on injured reserve after he was hurt late in the third quarter of a win over Minnesota. Players placed on IR must sit out a minimum of seven days, but this injury will almost certainly end Pacioretty’s season. The 34-year-old had surgery over the summer after the initial tear of his right Achilles tendon. https://www.nbcsports.com/nhl/news/hurricanes-max-pacioretty-suffers-2nd-achilles-tendon-tear
