If we can get guys to waive NMCs we’re going to be in business. I’m 100 percent sure this has been a massive problem for Adams probably since last year’s trade deadline. I refuse to believe they just have thought oh yea, just keep rolling with our young guys. And resign Okposo and Zemgus bc no one wants them - those options were better than forcing a trade we probably were looking at overpaying and for a guy who didn’t want to come here anyway. The lack of significant moves not involving Jack or Samson - both trades we did not get the better player - this has to get fixed. Trades for guys that have yet to have an NMC kick in doesn’t mean that’s the player we need. This is a serious issue and I don’t know how you fix it. My suggestion is this - go after Crosby. Instant, instant credibility brought back here. I don’t even think it would cost that much. 11th, maybe 3 prospects. Why wouldn’t Crosby do this? His run there is over. That's how you get guys to come here. Probably a 2 percent chance of this but it’s time to think big.

That extra punch is a complete loser move. Can’t wait to see how eager he is to drop them with Rempe.

If the core guys we decided to build around can’t get to 90 (Tage, Dahlin), 70-80 (Cozens, Tuch), and 50-60 points (Quinn, JJ, Power, maybe Benson) then we need to make some significant hockey trades. But I don’t think that’s necessary. They can get there. I want to see those forwards with Lindy. I want to see Power and Muel with Lindy. I want to see Skinner bought out The entire bottom 6 needs to be revamped and we need one more physical D man. UPL Levi We are not far off we just need these boys to become men.

I’ve turned. I think I really am not in the mood to see Reinhart v Casey in the Finals. Nothing against Sam. I’m just done with my team and our fans getting kicked in the nuts. Happens enough to our team in games. I started rooting for Boston couldn’t help the emotions sometimes that just happens. Rangers are winning the Cup anyway. The Knicks are playing the Pacers. OJ was in the news. The Yankees are built right. Vancouver is awesome. Full 1994 vibes.

Florida looked like they were “off” the last 7 days and the Bruins are riding a big OT win. Not totally shocked. Took Florida 2 periods to start going. If they don’t get goalied they’ll be fine.

Lindholm was awesome. Dahlin makes that play a lot to you could see it coming as soon as Pasta took off.

There are 3 great teams in the East then everyone else. I’m done hearing about how far away we are.

I think that was everything Toronto has left. They played near perfect. Boston wins game 7 easy.

Quick takeaways 1. He mentioned faceoffs. I have zero doubt this has been discussed as a massive problem. 2. He talked about needing elite Defensemen. He’s correct. Common denominator with the best teams. 3. He talked about how - these weren’t his exact words - but how it’s important for everyone to get excited about the little things they do in the game that should get guys fired up. Like blocking shots or good clears, etc. There is more to get excited about then scoring goals. I feel good about this. I think Adams and Lindy know what needs to be addressed and where they have to improve. It was awesome to hear him interact with Harrington and Hamilton again. Flashbacks not just to 2006 but 1997-98. Cannot wait to see what we do.

Lots to like. But I understand any frustration. My list was Peca, Lindy. To me more then anything else this feels like it puts to bed forever the “stink” of the tank years. Jack. Gone. Sam. Gone. Their coaches plus DG gone. Lindy had nothing to do with those teams. Nothing to do with the tank and not one player we acquired. He won here. A lot. It’s a true fresh start in every way with a leader that right away will show these guys what it means to win in Buffalo.

He could live another 15-20 years. He’s over 70. He also may not have many more years and really - I mean what happens with the teams if something were to happen to him say in the next 3-5 years?

I’d be slightly worried about Cozens if not for the entire team offense disappearing this year and everyone stunk. It just stinks of a team that made excuses and quit on its coach. Why did they make excuses? Because they felt the pressure and heard the outside noise. This means they are embracing that it’s been 13 years despite what Okposo said. So the optimist in me will just say at least they care. Now they need to find out who the leader behind the bench will be and the leaders on the ice. I’ve been taking this in all day. What a ****ing disaster. Even if this is true - YOU DON’T SAY IT OUT LOUD!!! Omg! This frigging team. Burn down the analytics department. Revamp all of it. I was of the belief Tage, Tuch, and Dahlin were better than this leadership wise. Especially the latter two. The ONLY explanation I have - the only one is that Skinner and his coasting and his salary just completely screws this team’s chemistry. How can you sit Cozens or Dahlin (who the heck exactly did Tage think needed to be sat?????) for doing things wrong or not working hard enough when Skinner not only repeatedly is at fault for what these guys are saying today but he’s paid 9 million dollars a season for it! Get him out of here yesterday. Get 5 new players on this team identify what the data cannot - and that’s who are the freaking losers with loser mentality and get them out. My guess is that list is probably one guy.

This is probably all right. And odds of this ending with Adams losing his job in April of 2025 probably are higher than making the playoffs. This is why I didn’t really think I wanted Donnie fired at this point. It’s a sign the GM may not actually have his finger on the pulse but hopefully it was more Pegula saying just wait till the end of the year DG deserves at least that.
