  1. I’m sorry the story of this season isn’t goaltending. It isn’t injuries. We don’t have a top line.
  2. When they tied it at 2, that's when you want to see Tage play like “we ain’t losing this game.” It would be on his body language, a shift or two where he dominates. We don’t have that guy right now.
  3. Tuch has to be hurt. Has to be. 6 points since January and 2 were in one game.
  4. Winning out - as much as possible - is just absolutely vital to help show guys reluctance to maybe waive any NMCs to come here that this team is ready. These aren’t meaningless games. We need them to absolutely dominate down the stretch. Maybe it doesn’t matter. I’d like to think a statement needs to be made whether we get in or not.
  5. It’s also possible Levi’s presence pushed UPL. Iron sharpens iron. Internal competition. You need to feel like everyone around you makes you want to be better.
  6. Idk about a decline in competition. We just went 2-1 against Carolina Florida and Tampa and the 3rd goal scored by Florida was a 5 on 3 goal. And as far as teams sleep walking against us idk…I think we lost a game 1-0 to Vancouver who only managed 20 shots against us. I feel like if we bring it and a team wants to take the night off we will dominate that team. I’m hoping something really clicked in our core guys after the post game salute response.
  7. Beat Tampa and we’re 9 out. I know there are teams around us but only within 3-5 points. Can’t worry about them. Beat Tampa. This is the last chance to at least make this interesting.
  8. He’s playing hard I just don’t think he’s playing well. He skates with Tage and Skinner and has 7 assists in 2024. How is that possible?
  9. When we didn’t convert on our PP I said that’s it. You could see the body language
  10. Yea but we’re not chasing Philly bc someone has to be the 3rd team in that division. Even if they slid it doesn’t really matter they’d just be out of the playoffs if they dropped to 4th in their division bc WC teams Detroit and Tampa have more points than them. To me we’re chasing Tampa. We have 2 games in hand on them 11 points back. Basically any hope of this happening - we need to beat them in regulation Thursday. Beat Florida tomorrow and root for Philly to beat Tampa. Then if we beat Tampa Thursday we will be just 7 points behind them with 2 games in hand.
  11. More on Rempe: So, in four career games, he has 8:32 of ice time and 27 penalty minutes. But the eventful start was far from over. He netted his first career NHL goal on a deflection Saturday, helping the Rangers tie a franchise record with their 10th straight victory. "Probably the ugliest first goal in NHL history, but I'll take it," he told ESPN after the game, calling his first week in the NHL "very eventful." "I love it. I want to bring that physicality, that edge to the team, bring speed, fly in there, bang bodies, go to the net. I think I'm doing that, and I'm having so much fun." https://www.foxnews.com/sports/rangers-rookie-sensation-second-fight-4th-nhl-game-very-eventful-first-week-as-pro-continues.amp
  12. Even elite teams have room for the fighters - Deslauries career has been to hit people and fight. The days of goons are long gone - but the league needs more of this. Rempe is massive. He got the game winner tonight to. May have been the reason they won. He’s 21 years old. Why aren’t we drafting kids like this????
  13. I know. I consider this to be an infliction point moment for this organization. The head coach just publicly defended his players being negatively impacted by boos. BOOS! Just let that sink in. And Adams needs to figure out who on the team is letting that mindset take over and get them out. Don’t care who it is. Dahlin, Thompson, Cozens - no one should be off limits. But in thinking about this the last few days I can’t help but wonder if Donnie is being defensive - feels the heat. And maybe he was just taking the attention off him. Which of course is terrible imo. He should be fired.
  14. Then this group is never winning anything Their position in the standings is reflecting that.
  15. I’m stretching it a tad - what else is implied when they say (implied by DG) “we took extensions early to be here?” I’m sensitive to its reputation. This is why I’m of the belief the Bills must move heaven and earth to find pieces to win with Allen. The Sabres - same thing. Because the city is nowhere near the top of anyone’s destination list unless it’s a guarantee you’re a serious contender or you’re getting overpaid. I know what it’s like to live there. None of these teens or 20 something’s who’ve traveled all over the place have any clue about Buffalo except it snows 6 months a year. Even with McDavid I think this is a massive problem for a place like Edmonton to. Getting guys to waive NMCs to go there may not be the slam dunk you’d think it is. Whatever. It’s all beside the point. Someone or several players vocally expressed disappointment “because we took extensions rather then go to market.” I just read and hear that as “you should be thanking us for even wanting to be here.” Adams and Pegula have an absolute mess on their hands. It’s astonishing bc 1 year ago I said this team would compete for the whole dam thing this year. I actually said that after 2022!
  16. They absolutely did. Maybe I’m thinking of Gratton or Gilmour. But those were trades and pre NMC. Almost all top players have those now. We weren’t attracting UFAs. Warrener, Dumont, Briere, Drury - all trades
  17. The most jarring thing for me to hear was this…. Donnie was discussing the boos and that the players don’t like being booed and it hurts. For me that’s a problem but whatever. In explaining it further he said this (essentially): “Several of these guys decided on extensions before going to market because they want to be here…so it hurts.” Ok. I take that 100% to mean that came up in discussing this. Someone legit said “we made a choice to stay in this dump of a city* and this is the thanks we get?” *Make no mistake - it isn’t the organization that gives this team a recruiting problem it’s the area. We had problems during the Hasek days trying to convince guys to come here. I think Geoff Sanderson comes to mind as a guy that wasn’t sure. Buffalo will always be my home despite having moved and I’ll defend it no matter what. However the perception of the city is not good compared to other options in the league. Maybe you’ll disagree but anyway… Thoughts on this? I’m completely blown away Donnie actually relayed that and that it was even said (presumably per DG).
