MM was a journeyman who literally got carried by an all but certain HOF'er to a few good seasons and fell straight off a cliff without Tavares. Tuch is an all-star caliber two way forward that teams pray for. There is literally no comparison here.

This might just be the most insane thing ever uttered in the entire history of these boards. I couldn't think of any two players who could be less alike: Tuch is an excellent player, MM had a couple of good seasons being carried by John Tavares that fooled us into handing him a huge contract.

A friend of mine was told by someone in the know who made the call not to lock up Sam long-term even though Sam wanted one. I think you can all figure out who made that call (Hint:There is a reason Botts got another GM gig and nobody in the league holds his tenure here against him).
