I hate this team more than the 1993 Worst Team Money Can Buy Mets, a group so horrible and unlikable it killed my enthusiasm for baseball until Piazza came in 1998 (The 80's Mets were THE team growing up and I would go to at least 15 games a year with dad). An utterly unlikable group of crybabies who failed as hard as you could and were so upset at the Fire Donny chant they no longer salute fans after a win.

This team was as unprepared to start a season as any I have ever seen in my life. A serious organization would sack the coach and his entire staff after having done such a disgraceful and unprofessional job the second the season ends but there are no standards here except failing forever. Right now I would give anything to have Torts as our coach because he'd shut down the country club, hold people accountable and get results.

This will totally be stuck in your head for weeks.

Granato belongs in jail for keeping Levi out there to get eaten alive when it's obvious he has no business being in the NHL right now.

Don is our coach until his contract expires in 2026 because we have an owner who can't grasp the concept of a sunk cost.

Guys, think I found us that hard nosed physical defenseman we all keep clamoring for:

A friendly reminder: If you put together a team comprised of players we have lost/gotten rid of over the past 6 years it would be one of the best rosters in the league and a very strong cup contender. STOP. TREATING. THE. SYMPTOM.

This team will continue to be the armpit of pro hockey as long as Pegula remains owner. He is to hockey what James Dolan is to basketball except even more ridiculous and incompetent.

He could hold the job for the next quarter century and if he accomplishes absolutely nothing tangible in that span (like, you know, making the playoffs) then the correct answer is "never".
