It seems more plausible that trading Dahlin will enhance his career (the Cups are hard to predict), and still not result in a trade that helps turn the franchise around. Cases in point: An injured Eichel got us Tuch, Krebs, Östlund, and Greenway (via trade of a #2 pick). Would you make that trade again? Reinhart got us Levi and Kulich. Would you make that trade again? ROR got us Tage Thompson, Ryan Johnson, and a big pile of veteran poop (Berglund, Sobotka, and a pick that was flipped for Colin Miller). Would you make that trade again? What if Dahlin loses his love for the game? Here is direct copy of ROR's big crime against Terry Pegula's version of hockey heaven. As he and his fellow Sabres teammates cleaned out their lockers, he was quoted saying: “We’re stuck in this mindset of just being OK with losing. I feel it, too. I think it’s really crept into myself. Over the course of the year, I’ve lost myself a lot, where it’s just kind of get through, just being OK with just not making a mistake. That’s not winning hockey at all, and it’s crept into all of our games. It’s disappointing. It’s sad. I feel throughout the year I’ve lost the love of the game multiple times.” (from ‘Sabres’ Ryan O’Reilly says he lost love of game, lacked mental toughness,’ The Buffalo News, Apr 9, 2018)

Is next year's spine appearing before our eyes?

Malenstyn will be back, he has another year in the contract. He is doing what they wanted him to do. Lafferty has another year on his contract, but not sure. He could be a 13/14 forward as he plays C and Wing. NAK will move on. -
Just be happy you are not a Chiefs fan. You would have 16 games of if, if, and if. They nearly lost every game this season.

Thank you. From the start of 2021 to today Lafferty has played on 5 different teams. He is a fourth line player. -

A playmaker 1C type center is a bigger need. From there you push our top center(s) down. That improves multiple positions and gives more competition so that we aren't reliant on kids like Kulich and Kozak unless they can beat out a vet. We have to stop giving jobs to the kids, make them take the jobs away. -
GdT Sabres in Vanc: Jan 21/25. Like 10 tn; you figure it out

UPL's numbers would be much better on a good team. Sure, every goalie can say that, but I see a better goalie than his current year stats. So many times this season he was totally left on his own for final ~30 minutes of the game. He gets terrible support. Last night they must have given up 6 high danger chances to the Canucks in the 3rd period alone. I can't think of a game were Sabres cruised to a win with a comfortable lead, at least not since US Thanksgiving. -

You mean its not the start of the next Buffalo Sabres Renaissance? So many of your posts were proclaiming it was upon us. -

Petterson had a goal and 3 SOGs. He looks like a skilled player and all. But man sometimes he just floats around. -

We will know when he is ready. It isn’t this year.
