  1. I've been saying it for a bit now, Botterill MUST, yes MUST bring in help for both the future and now. If they are going to run with 4 RHD's and 2 LHD's I'm fine with that, but the 1st rd must be in play if that be the case and he wants help with term. And I'm not opposed to a rental goalie like Miller for a modest upgrade on Hutton.
  2. I believe the Sabres take this one. 3 to 2, Olofsson's PP lightning strikes twice. Okposo deals the fatality.
  3. They are falling off the cliff. All we have to do is catch Florida. And that is possible.
  4. Would be so our luck ?
  5. And this may very well be as well. No Sabres held out of games yet This close to the deadline save Rodriguez. All our d men are playing. We'll see what happens tomorrow come game time, but Monday is when I expect a move or 2, if they win tomorrow. After all, the playoffs are still within reach and some teams, like Toronto for example, may get desperate enough to pull the trigger.
  6. Yes it did. What could Pitt possibly offer, a 3rd? I can't see us taking a player back. If we are moving Sheary, I'm of the mind it's to make room for a multi-player deal coming down the pipeline. Just me though.
  7. Yes!!!!! Botterill, get them the pieces they need! Not rentals, maybe 1. But hockey trades that will go beyond this season AND help this season.
  8. Nicely Done Boys!!! Enjoyed the win, get some rest, and be prepared to Saddle Up, 1500 tomorrow!
  9. I didn't take Skinner contributing in to account...……….so sue me ?
  10. Get it DONE BOYS!!!! Just get it DONE!!!! Go Sabres!
  11. It starting to look a lot like Christmas...……………..:)
  12. The force is looking strong for this post!!!! Go Sabres!!!!!
  13. Sheary for Blueger?
  14. I believe the Sabres take this game, 4 to 2. Eichel shows up on the goal sheet a couple of times.
  15. I think EVERY TEAM seeks a goalie that can STEAL a few games each season, and those teams heading in to playoff spots, as of right now, have them.
  16. I agree with this. 4 goals is enough to win a game, unless your goalie let's in 6.
  17. Thank you! I am not remotely the best at conveying a message, but yes Weave, this is exactly dead nuts on imho. I say if they make a move or 2 at the deadline, add, and not just for the future, but pay a pittance and try to push back on the losing. Even if we are 10 and 11 points out of playoff spots, show not the fans, but the players in the locker room exactly what you said.
  18. No Sabres players being held out of the line up as healthy scratches, at least, none of significant worth. That is telling imo. I have no idea what Botterill intends to do this deadline, whether he is under Pegula's thumb on any decisions and if there is an actual strategy in place for both a last ditch playoff run or moving in to the "next season asset acquisition" phase. But it's almost as if there is absolutely either no strategy at all, at least for the deadline, or he's so entrenched in his brain that this existing roster can do it that he refuses to make a move, that it is mind boggling as a fan.
  19. Winnipeg and Knights hookup, Eakins to Winnipeg, Vegas clearing cap space. Took this from a post on another site...……. There have been some reports that the Sabres and Knights were talking a week ago. Have no idea to the articles authors sources, so cannot speak to it's validity, but, Vegas and Buffalo have been scouting one another. Here is the article...…... Sabres and Golden Knights could be trade partners again
  20. Whenever your avatar fills next to a thread as the most recent post, I drop anything I'm doing and read. Just keep doing what your doing, it is appreciated, as a fan.
  21. I hardly consider Gibson a substitution. But yes, Rakell would be a substitution.
  22. And I'd trade him in a heart beat for John Gibson and Rickard Rakell out 9f Anaheim.
  23. Kase to Boston for Backed and a 1st per multiple reports
  24. Does this mean his agent has a potential suitor for a playoff bound depth spot or did someone walk in to the forest and kiss Botterill, waking him up from his all season slumber?
  25. So, if Botterill trades Sheary back to the Penguins, does that make the Sabres the AHL team for the Pens? A place to stash Penguin players until they are Cap compliant for their return? Honestly, the attachment of the Pegulas to the Penguins organization has seriously hurt the Sabres organization, imho.
