Anyone know what Botterill's been doing today? Is he still in Ottawa? Has he returned to Buffalo? Is his phone even on?

As for myself I'd have no problem with that. We are within striking distance of a playoff spot. He's had near 3 seasons to get the team in the playoffs, and while I agree hunting pure rentals only isn't the sound way to go, nor should he, there should be deals out there that can contribute to a push now imo. Tic Toc, Tic Toc Jason.....

Meh, not interested in his emotional state. He sees the problems with this team the same as the rest of us. I'm interested in what he intends to do about it and when. Everyday he waits is confirmation to myself that he has already written this season off. And if that is the case, he must go. I want a team top to bottom that fights for that playoff birth until the very end, I'm sick of "waiting for next season". That is the mindset of the weak imo.

This season isn't over. We're within striking distance of Toronto who's defence is in shambles. Address the net minder and center position NOW!!!! It is imperative he does it NOW!!!! Get on it Botterill, you've wasted enough time already!!! Never surrender, never give up the ship!!!! With your last breathe's spit at it!!!! Fight to the very end, show some teeth, get your war growl on!!!!

Ultimately it is Botterill who is responsible for where the team is at. He built this roster, he hired the coaching staff to teach it. There is no blaming the players, no blaming the coaches, the excuses of not talented enough or lack drive and passion are just that, excuses. It is Jason Botterill who assembled the product on the 8ce, he 8s ultimately the decision maker, and over 3 seasons, it is beyond safe to say, he makes an overwhelming number of poor decisions.

We need a goalie, there has been 0 doubt on this. Botterill's love fest with these players must end. He has to do something.

Upgrade in Net, we need a goalie badly, along with a 2/3C. Botterill, get it done!!!!

We have 4 RHD's, 1 of which is an RFA at seasons end. We need an upgrade in Net to be sure. We need a 2/3C and could use another RHS RW'er. We can make a move or 2 to upgrade. The real question is, will Botterill make those moves to give the team a real shot at not only running for a playoff spot, but making some noise in the playoffs if they do make it?

I'm not worried about a Vegas deal. My eyes for the main deal are on Tampa. With secondary deals, 1 or 2 of them. The deadline is Monday, plenty of time and teams with needs left.

I'm hoping Botterill holds out right up to deadline day to be honest Tom. I have a hunch it's Montour (unsigned RFA) or Risto. In either case, an offensive minded RHD with either team control or some term is going to be 1st rd pick and 2/3 center with some term worthy. Just a hunch is all. But I'm definitely looking at Tampa.
