To be honest John, the return for ROR in that trade speaks volumes, to myself in any event. Botterill, having been in management capacity with an NHL organization was well aware of many factors in moving an asset like ROR. The price Murray paid to bring him to Buffalo, play style, workout regiment, consistencies in such, leadership qualities, and his overall worth to the organization as a team member as well as a potential trade piece. Why he accepted such a poultry package from St. Louis has to be owner driven on the bonus, in my humble opinion. Because most hockey fans that follow the sport, in particular the NHL, we're fully aware that wad a massive mistake the moment it happened. And that was before the Berglund issue was known publicly. I say it time and again, the Pegula's are well intentioned owners, but they need to step away from operations and bring in a proven experienced NHL franchise builder and let them do the job necessary to build the Sabres in to a respectable franchise.
