  1. Agreed. What is it? Is there any statistics that capture rebounds or the control of rebounds, because it seems like it's so much better.
  2. Like: *Usage of the “third line”. *Protected usage of the “fourth line”. Not playing last 8 minutes of our close games is a good call. *two D-man (including Risto) on the 2nd PP. Although this speaks to the lack of depth with our forwards. It’s a different look and I like it. Dislike: * Vlad on the second line. Yes better than last year but an offensive liability. He has zero points while Skinner and MoJo have 4 each. Too much TOI each night. *Vesey playing with first line in lieu of Olafsson. Too conservative. Not like Jimmy is some kind of Defensive wizard. A good defense might be a good offense. Score or possession will protect your lead. ambivalent *Ristos minutes and 5v5 play. He was a -10 in October last year with five points (PP#1). So far he has only one point and a -1, with similar minutes/usage, so better? Smarter people than I will need to explain why it’s better or worse.
  3. Jimmy lies a lot doesn’t he. Jimmy’s close to getting healthy scratched.
  4. According to Capfreindly he never has been on LTIR, just IR. Only Hunwick is on LTIR. Why do we even try?
  5. Let’s look at what he looks like in April. I’ll bet he has 5 x the goals of Vlad.
  6. Pretty sure James Neal is a top 6 guy. Could have been had for a song. Just needed the right situation. I’d be happy with him playing RW on the top line and slide Sam the second, and of course Vlad would have been moved in the deal, so the cap is a wash.
  7. Nope. A giant chasm of talent between Sam and Vlad. Sobotka has been an absolute drag on the second line. I’m still convinced Tage will be a late season call up and get moved to the second line. He played probably his best game Friday and was still a non-factor in the O-zone. His open shot in the third was weak sauce. MoJo and Skinner have had some good shifts together and I like their chemistry but not playing better than the first line.
  8. Your moniker says Third liner, but that is some second line shite right there. Thanks. p.s. If Sabrespace calls you a third liner, are you really a fourth liner, and should you be posting after the second period? Especially if we have a lead.
  9. Scandella played an excellent game all around. Fine Defense and chipping in on the Oh-fense. Did I just compliment the play of Marco? Maybe Head Coach Ralph Krueger is some kind of horse whisperer.
  10. No Changes to the Sabres Line up, which is why I did not post. In fact sadly the people at Daily Faceoff are still miss reporting the lines, so please replace FL3 with FL4 and vice versa. I'm hoping Kruger matches Larsson against Trocheck. 11. learned first in poetry class. Later came across in Telefon. Both were extremely useful.
  12. Hoffman moving up to the first line and Weeger to the first pairing of D. "I think Hoff's gotten off to a real good start," Quenneville said. "Trying to move it around to get balance… There's some offense in all the groups, but we need the top group to have the puck more and play in the offensive zone a little bit more." FTFY

  14. Kulikov for Pysyk The rights to Vesey for a third Lehner for a first Georges for a second McNabb and 2 second's for Fashing I'd said he throws darts on a regular basis. Not good, but he throws often.
  15. No, but Tim Murray is. He has lots of free time and we all know he loves the drink. ?
  16. Observations after watching tape delay. Surprisingly few complaints about Sobotka the last half dozen pages. Didn’t read the entire thread but has the hate dissipated? Every game I see him play I feel like MoJo and Skinner are losing points. His contributions are frustrating. His lame attempt at a juicy rebound in the third didn’t even excite me b/c I saw who was taking it. And isn’t he supposed to be great in face offs? Nothing said on the Broadcast regarding Vesey on the top line the last few shifts. Any reason for it? Was Olofsson injured? If it RK’s method of motivation, it failed. Really disappointed in his play. Can we now call Larsson/Zemgus/KO the third line? They play third line 5v5 minutes, they play PK minutes, match up against FL#2 and FL#3 more than against any fourth lines, and they actually can be trusted in a close game. I don’t think I saw the 4th line out there the last 8 minutes. Jack has an inherent ability to take over a game, and should have more 4 point nights this year playing with Oloffsson and Sam plus anchoring the new and improved PP. Not sure why he seemingly takes nights off like against Columbus. Dominant. With Sheary out, we have 5 legitimate Forwards. Love the 3rd line grinders but scoring will be challenging for them. Everyone else is replacement level. Bring Tage on the West coast roadie. Has to be worth a look. Unless things get better you can put Casey, Vesey or Vlad in the press-box.
  17. Today, agreed. But will you fell that way in June of 2021? The woods are lovely, dark and deep, But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep.
  18. 100%. Most of the early Mock Drafts I have seen show Miller as the consensus pick. Note that McCabe will be a UFA that summer so not required to be protected.
  19. Why would Buffalo even expose him? Or a better question is who else is worth protecting?
  20. Great point. I thought the same thing when he came right back out. Will be interesting to see how many Forwards see ice time in OT. Is it five or six?
  21. The Peg lost 4-1. They’re giving up almost 5 goals per game. Their only win is a game against NJ where they were losing 4-0 in the second. I have to believe if JB asked for Ehlers and was rejected there may be a phone call coming in November or sooner. Risto’s stock is rising and the Jets stock seem to be falling. Question is, if they come back with an offer equal to your original offer do you accept it or hold out for more?
  22. Check out Nic Hague. 2017 #34 overall. Six foot six, scored 35 as a D man in Junior, solid AHL year last year. Could be a gem. Played his first game last night due to injuries. And of course a gift of Tim Murray (by way of the Kings) McNabb looks solid and still relatively young at 28. The don’t have to sacrifice anything to Seattle and Cody Glass showing early signs. I’m with @Randall Flagg on this one.
  23. Is this a Tragically Hip cover band? Are they from the US or CA? Are they playing downtown?
