  1. I've got chrome on both phone and laptop and have no issue so far.
  2. I might add that you can fail if you have the wrong attitude also. I could see Ellis turning Cozens into something great (like an ROR) but, I could also see Casey turning into Luke Adam.
  3. What? Reinhart rides Jack's jetstream, is softer than Giza dream sheets, and is just a passenger most of the time. If you trade him you'd be lucky to get a Vesey type and a 7th rd pick in 2030. Note: extreme sarcasm
  4. I think Strome's speed would still be a concern...will he be able to keep up with his wingers or will he slow them down? Is Rust a defensive capable winger...we know Skinner is not. Better options please. Edit: I also question why having an extra LD with Dahlin, Sergachev, and McCabe. Seems it would be better to have the extra be a RD. Tage should be in Roch if he's gonna be an extra FW.
  5. Why not both him and Tuch? Great 2nd line players.
  6. You might be careful in what you ask for. I feel that there is one rule and that's to allow as much freedom as possible and step in when things heat up. There might be some bias toward people or groups that are more often obnoxious than others but, in general I think they are pretty fair about things. There have been times where they easily could've stepped in sooner (but they probably have their life to live too). I just try to appreciate that we have this board. It can be fun and a learning experience as well as a battleground. I've seen other boards disappear or push people away when things get going in the wrong direction. I know I could have been better at times and decided to be stubborn instead and push the limits. If I didn't I likely would have left a long time ago. Sometimes you have to realize how good we have it. Thank you to the mods/ owner for doing what you do in this thankless hobby.
  7. Why? An early exit might mean a re-tool and a chance at McKinnon. Lol
  8. You sound like someone I could sit down and talk with. I've had some discussions with a black gentleman in my apartment building and it was very amicable. I would love to be able to sit down with someone sensible without any racial tension on either side and just discuss and look at things from each other's perspective. I'm sure we've all grown over the years to believe certain things that aren't actually factual or could've been taught differently. As for OJ... I watched a good part of that trial and felt he would get off. I also felt he was being set up at times. Irregardless of whether he did it or not, I felt the case was flawed. The words " beyond a shadow of doubt" sold me.
  9. Or did Skinner look better because he had a center? Could this also be true, what say you?
  10. Whatever your faith may be. Even an Atheist needs morals in knowing what's right and wrong.
  11. I have 2 issues with this.... 1) justification or not is not the "root" of the problem. The problem is the lack of morals, self responsibility, and faith( other than 1hr/week). If this were to change there would be much less police inter-actions and maybe less need for them all together. There's an old saying...."if you can't do the time, don't do the crime". 2) Why aren't these players protesting the violence that's killing innocent people on the streets everyday causing the police to get involved? There are many more people getting killed in this fashion. Just to add another point, I'm ok with equal justice system . However, my conclusion is if there is an inequality in minority vs white sentencing, then raise the white sentencing to equal that of the minorities and not the other way around. I'm sure that would make everyone "equally" unhappy.
  12. Better question....does he lick everyone's face?
  13. Any time now the Christmas stuff will be showing up on the shelves along with the snowblowers. It gets earlier every year.
  14. I'm one of the few that like Simmons (now and the past). I believe he said he was playing through injuries this year. I think I read he is feeling good and wasn't opposed to returning. Don't see it though.
  15. I wonder how this could effect Jack. Sam is the only constant he's had and they seem to get along good. Could that be Jack's breaking point?
  16. An honest question....which is more valuable positionally? I can see Sanderson being the best D available at 8. If the forwards aren't that significantly better, do you take Sanderson and use other D on roster or in system (Johnson/Borgen/Bryce/Miller etc) to trade for forwards? If Sanderson is an upgrade to what we have. Several C's end up as wingers (Sam) which seems to make it easier to obtain a wing. It also means that if you draft a C you may end up with a player that doesn't fit the need you have drafted him for. Would any of this come into play? I mean if Sanderson is near BPA. Example...draft him and trade Johnson for a rostered wing that can play now.
  17. The whole conversation is moot with the reason being that this "societal change" crap is totally built upon hipocracy. No one is perfect so to expect perfection from someone else at any given time is unjust. These "victimized" women are who? Is it the woman that goes to a sporting event, stands in the aisle with a beer in her hand shaking her donkey to attract the cameraman so she gets her 20 seconds of YouTube fame? Or the one who wouldn't care about what was said if Milbury looked like Adonnis instead of Michael Myers? And the men backing the firing that just have a deep rooted hatred for him. I'm sure there's at least one out there that is hiding a Playboy mag under his mattress, has a mirrored ceiling with a swing, along with a Jillian Michael's workout poster "pasted" on the wall. Is it the woman an hour before closing at the bar that gets hit on by the 5'3"/350lb guy who resembles Freddy Kreuger and tells her friends what a creep he is and then gushes when Fabio walks by and says hello? Is it the 400lb spandex model? Or the movie star dressed (barely) walking down the red carpet at the Academy Awards looking to get on the mag cover? Or the guy watching just to see it? I could go on and on about the political correctness and the hipocracy of it all. How anyone could say it doesn't suppress freedoms is beyond belief. I have no love for Milbury but many people are losing their jobs over this B.S. and less. Worse yet, some are being violently attacked for needless things. ( This might be sadistic sarcasm....or not).
  18. Made me think of Gallagher and his sledgehammer. Ouch.
  19. I give you credit for speaking out this way. What he said is not nearly as offensive as what likely are the thoughts people have because of what he said and the fact they are not willing to admit it. He made a very general statement that could likely be taken a 100 different ways but, people always seem to think the worst. And I'm not saying that he didn't mean it that way either. I'm Native-American and don't give one bean about the Redskins name for example.
  20. Glad we cleared that up some what. Now, let's try to clear another thing up. My original question about Lundell was assuming other players were gone, how would you rate him as our pick at 8. You adamantly were opposed using things like your fear he becomes a 3C/40pt guy. You backed that up by saying if we use a #8 pick to fill the 3C that our GM is a failure. You then tell someone else that he could excel as a 2C on the Jets because they have better wings than us. Remember, I was asking you about Lundell the player and not the team he's on or the wings he plays with. My question would be ....why can't he excel in the Sabres at 2C if we have better wings? We all agree that we need to add a top 6 RW. If we add a Boeser, Toffoli, P. Kane, etc, etc we could have better wings. We also want and need this for Cozens too. Another question....let's use the Pens for example. You have Crosby/Malkin as top C's...you pick Lundell and he excels as 3 C. Wouldn't that be a good thing as the other two age that he might be able to become a 2C? Or, you have a valuable piece to aquire what you need. Why should we settle for a3C that might be an Asplund, Lazar, Mojo, Kahuna, etc. Why can't we always want the best instead of settling? I'm not saying that he would step in right away either. We hope that Cozens could be sheltered in the 3C at minimum and develop into a capable++ 2C. Why not have a good 3C to eventually push him? It could lead us to a situation down the road like a Tampa, not knowing which player to get rid of but knowing that the return should be good. Isn't this where we want to eventually be? Hope to have a good convo on this and if you have need for clarification on anything just ask.
  21. First of all you're wrong, entirely. I have plainly said that I respect the time and effort he puts into his work. If I didn't I wouldn't have asked his opinion on Lundell in the first place, or any other player in the past. Your discussions may very well be fine. Sometimes mine are too. But quite of he jumps to assuming or accusing that someone is "implying" or "equating" that they're not. That is where the convo usually goes sour. I know many of us do but some more than others. I try to keep in mind one 3 letter word...are. Are you implying?....Are you equating? This turns it into a question instead of an accusation or assumption. It's something we all could use to remember. In this particular instance he played both sides of the fence and that's what I found funny(and another poster agreed). Personally, I like to get along with everyone but I won't shy away either. I don't really get upset for the most part but I will piss someone else off in various ways when they get an attitude.
