  1. Except, you know, fix the same injury he’s had for a decade
  2. Rental with no guarantees of signing It was confirmed by Murray he had no conversations with ROR until after the deal Cant factor in hindsight
  3. Eh, I could say that he wants to show he can play in the NHL, in the NHL, because he’s trying to show off for his next contract. And he wasn’t going to do that in Buffalo and might not believe he could in Rochester. He’s forfeiting 1.4mil to salvage his career where he’s poised to make more.
  4. Name one deal of GMTM at reasonable cost
  5. Moulson didn’t openly demand trades. Reap what you sow
  6. Evidence? Being the teams joker in the locker room doesn’t mean ‘good guy’. Call him a victim of his own contract if you wish, but he would have been in the KHL years ago without it.
  7. Or maybe I should say Reinhart. He’s considered part of their core, but the easiest to move. Team isn’t doing hot so he’s a lightning rod of attention while his underlying stats are still good.
  8. BYEEeEeEeEeE I wonder if he feels free to beat up his twitter hecklers now. Con artist got paid millions to not play good hockey and Murray was dumb enough to foot the rest of the bill. Good riddance. Things are already better since he’s been gone
  9. I think a majority of that failure was on Housley quite honestly. I agree from a development perspective they both would've been better in the AHL, but a 3C/3RW role without such a terrible coach I believe would have turned out very differently.
  10. Dahlin is one of our few defenseman who does more than pass the puck around the perimeter. Miller is actually our other defenseman who is good at this as well. The less predictable the defenseman are the harder you are to play against. The chaos is how goals are scored. Oh, and Dahlin is filthy good.
  11. That's what Montour trade was last deadline. That was a great trade, even with the fall-out. I didn't see an opening for a trade ever actually resulting in a 2C, but Trochek being available, and Ristolainen having a similar contract situation, the path couldn't be clearer to my eyes. Trochek is a selfish player, but if he can eat-up quality 2nd line minutes and be paired with Skinner, he's what this team is missing.
  12. Assuming a top-6 graded prospect only needs to be a replacement level 3rd liner is not exactly setting them, or your own expectations up for failure. That's not to say it may be a mistake from a development perspective, but if someone is only penciling in a player in a lower role than their ceiling they're doing ok.
  13. 1st round picks are undervalued in the league. Unless your compete window is closing in 1-2 season, or the acquiring player is still future RFA, trading a 1st is a huge mistake.
  14. Are we buyers or sellers? ? Sellers market right now. Some names are popping up that make for good hockey trades, and either acquiring cap dumps or hockey trade is what Botterill has shown us he can do. I think the big kicker is what to do with Larsson/Girgensons/Vesey? If we want to win we need to keep at least the first two, preferably all three. But their rental value won't be any higher. Larsson ought to fetch a 1st+B prospect
  15. Toronto is not good. That defense will cave sown the stretch like it did tonight Florida is considering selling at the deadline. Those are the two teams between us and 3rd in Atlantic. The hope isn’t dead yet.
  16. Risto has skyrocketed his trade value this game. If that shift with his offensive zone check and then backcheck to save the goal wasn’t it, how about that play?
  17. Trochek would be a great compliment to Skinner. Two guys who can’t pass creating havoc Make it happen!
  18. Whole problem with the team is #2OA center pick can’t play center, so we’re wallowing looking for a 2C
  19. Trochek is a great get thought he was untouchable. Still curious why his game has fallen so much. Marchessault is a great player, they’re trying to get rid of him before he hits the age 30-34 part of his contract, but I doubt he’s a vet we’d be sore about. Okposo fell off the cliff right away at 30, but a lot of that is concussion. Neither are big guys though. Looks like most forwards coming through the system have size though. Makes a return of Sheary pretty much out of the question if it wasn’t already.
