  1. Entertaining, draft spot still secured. Good game
  2. Why does Irwin not get replaced? Are they sheltering them still for some reason?
  3. We didn’t see an ounce of good Jack this year which makes trading him a possible thought. He’s still a beast of a player and I wonder what he’d do under Granato Definitely not a leader though But definitely Damaged goods now which hurts any return. mid want a blue chip or two plus firsts. Not just one or the other.
  4. Coaching is everything cant wait for fancy stats to have a coaching factor
  5. Eichel McCabe Borgen Girgensons (Montour with me coach) helps many of those numbers defensively Our PP was Eichel and that changes with his return Goalie problems can’t be understated This team isn’t that far off. Injury return, a goalie not injured, and a new coach and we’re easily playoffs
  6. Tokarski is sooooo bad and they nearly won. Sad ending. we need all our injured players back
  7. Beating Boston 6 times and kicking them out of playoffs is a winning season
  8. Nobody was open. Better than Hall just giving the puck away
  9. Bjork just carried the puck longer than I’ve seen Hall all season lol Were going to like Bjork. He was just a bad fit in Boston
  10. Boston has no defense. They have one good line and play dirty up and down the line up. Hall is just going to suck useful minutes away from them. They’re going nowhere. but we don’t have enough juice right now to stand up to the physicality. Too many injuries and such.
  11. This is the ***** I’m talking about. Should be 20 penalties to none but refs gotta ref and make penalties even
  12. Boston doing the ‘make so many dirty plays the refs won’t call half of them because they feel bad calling so much’ approach. Disgusting team. Deserves to have their players ran.
  13. Bjork had his career sidelined by shoulder surgeries. Then he came in and was playing doghouse with a short leash in the pro league where he showed many of the same ‘overthinking’ problems we’ve seen with Tage and Mitts the last season or two. He’s a skill winger thrusted into a shutdown 3LW/RW role and doing what he’s told. The guy can skate and his feet are faster than his hands. he’s primed for the same kind of outbreak that Tage/Mitts are under Granato, and also has a history with Granato to boot. Worst case he replaces Lazar. But he has upside. Don’t get his association with Hall tied up with the guy
  14. Hall is fools gold who has looked absolutely awful with no flashes of life for us though. He isn’t worth a 1st. He is riding name recognition 100%
  15. Why do some of you act like you didn’t watch Hall do absolutely nothing for this team all season? Hall and Staal gets scratched and the team has an identity all of a sudden.
  16. A 28oa pick that has a 50% chance to even be an NHL player on a team who doesn’t even have a scouting department is somehow better than a player just on the cusp of the prime of their career locked up cheap? Y’all overrate picks TOO much
  17. https://hfboards.mandatory.com/threads/anders-bjork-iii.2798440/page-12 Go read what Boston fans think of Bjork over the years. He blew his shoulder out which slowed down the start of his career. The rest reads just like any report on players like Thompson or Mittelstadt over the last two years: has all the tools there but isn’t putting it together playing grinding minutes for the coach. I agree losing Lazar hurts, but he’s a 4th liner we saved from being out of the league entirely a year ago. We still have Girgensons. Caggiula is an equivalent to Lazar. Boston is right to target Lazar but in the grand scheme of things he’s easily replaced.
  18. Bjork has three years at 1.6 then RFA. He’s another Thompson, but fast instead of tall. It seems the over reaction babies have taken over and logic and reason is getting sucked out of the vacuum now. Turning a freaking 1ywar rental into long term assets is somehow bad asset management? A late first round pick is lucky to turn into Bjork six years from now.
  19. Bjork is the type of player Granato would unlock. Lots of potential getting caught up in systems play. Young and in team control, something none of the other rentals have fetched in their trades. Going to miss Lazar though
  20. Ick. Folingo is the type of player to put Toronto over the top
