Jack never had another talented player on the team that commanded respect for their existence from the get go. Gionta was a blue collar player. Everyone else was toxic

Original rumors were Suzuki/Caulfield were off the table. Now they’re offering Suzuki for lesser talent? Sounds fake Any deal with Suzuki, a couple blue chips and cap dumps is likely worth it

Most big guys on defense use their size and not their extreme stick length to make plays. Power’s knock is he uses his stick too much and it won’t translate. It’s the opposite that is true. Don’t force feed him pasta and scramble his brain and we will be alright.

They had a deal in theory with Briere down. Management said choose only one and the one is Drury. Drury saw the writing on the wall and got the hell out of dodge.

Are the new high draft picks more coachable and mentorable than the last few? Reinhart and Eichel had powerful dads that probably ruined damn near everything. Just like ROR. Cozens has a humble upbringing. Dahlin has a humble upbringing. Power seems like a diva, but he’s squarely behind Dahlin and that’s more motivational drive than anything money can buy when it comes to guys like him. And there’s a coach who has done decades worth of player development as their coach. Just need vets willing to put in the effort like Gionta and the sponges ready to soak it in. Players like Eichel and Reinhart floated. im hopeful.

Isn’t Karmanos a counterpoint to this? The recent draft where they purposefully undid the shackles of the past?

Politicians do all the time. Those who refuse to play just lose.

That’s what politicians/business leaders do. They build personal capital in addition to tangible capital to use it when they can. And it’s cut throat and only goes so far, true. But you can only burn someone once and they better be out of position of any power in the league when you do so. i don’t expect message board junkies to understand these concepts though/ who championed Murray who couldn’t have been a worse GM that ruined all political capital the Sabres ever had in the league.

Like everybody on the message board? Is nobody allowed to speculate or play devils advocate? Anytime real dirty stories that are sourced with evidence are shared they get moderated away anyway.

My inference from how his whole line will change except for him when the second line is perfectly capable, and if he does get off he shows every tantrum expression he can. Coaches may be picking their battles with the ego players too. Eichel got how many coaches fired himself?

He literally refuses to go on the bench for entire 2 minute PPs. When he gets cold the entire team doesn’t score a PP goal as a result. He’s a talent, but not a teammate
