  1. But it's not a nickname- it's actually his real name
  2. Moulson remains ahead of Fasching and Bailey on the depth chart because, despite all his flaws, he will score more goals than either of them (esp PP) and he will be less of a defensive liability with our improved d-corps
  3. I love Antipin's aggressiveness. I'll take it. Beaulieu will be a stud. Eichel is like having 2 players on the ice. Did anyone see that shorthanded scoring chance he created single-handedly?
  4. Bylsma was quite scientific. He found things that worked beautifully and then never did them again.
  5. Even if they gelled and Moulson found his scoring touch, I don't think they should be on the same line as their lack of speed could be a detriment in Housley's system I agree to an extent. The tank - combined with years of unwatchable hockey - has the feel of some sort of video game cheat code. Yeah, you can win with it, but it doesn't feel the same as beating the game the "right" way... I know other teams "tanked" ...but there was a certain deliberateness to our approach that made it seem kinda dirty... luckily, Jack's brand of hockey is so unique and thrilling to me (rather watch him over McDavid) that - for me at least - it seems to be worth it. Even though the tank was deliberate, I think we still got super, super lucky with the player Jack will turn out to be.
  6. Right. And you can bet they're feeling the pressure to impress every shift. They'll look way better if they're on lines with ROR, Eich, or Samson and another veteran winger
  7. I was thinking a less dynamic Drew Stafford... Moulson can actually finish on the right line, and knows how to get into scoring positions when playing with people who can open up the ice
  8. I haven't gone through all 30pgs of this thread, so forgive me if this has been discussed: I love, love Laphroaig 10yr. I drink it need, and I find the flavor profile so delightful. I taste a rich vanilla-y thing going on, with that lovely smoky-ness I tried Ardbeg 10yr a few months ago. I couldn't get into it. All I got was the smoky-ness, but didn't get any other flavors. Is this a case where actually adding a dash of water might actually open it up more? I haven't tried that in a really, really long time, but I preferred it neat with the Scotch I tried it with.
  9. I fear the only apt observation the Leaf commentators made: something like "Pouliot looks like the same Pouliot the Oilers passed on"
  10. did not like that hit on Rodrigues. Seemed late and ERod had his head down. He just left the game it seems?
  11. I don't find that to be the case, especially with all the vegan joints where I live and what's on their menus. I once accidentally walked into an all-vegan dessert place. I realized mid-order and promptly just stopped speaking, turned around and walked out the door.
  12. Duchene for Larrson, Nylander, and Pu
  13. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000849157/article/jordan-matthews-give-bills-passing-game-some-time I tend to be an optimist, but I buy what Jordan Matthews is saying
  14. I'm sure there is a team that has the right pieces for COL to make a mutually beneficial (to the extent COL is capable) deal. I don't think the Sabres are that team. I like where our team is now, and a Duchene deal from our end seems like it would require a drastic rethinking our prospect situation. Unless COL is willing to do something even dumber than the ROR deal with us, I think we pass.
  15. Curious to see Pouliot on ROR's wing as well as Girgs at C Will also be my first real look at Antipin
  16. What's the consensus? Is COL gonna get totally screwed again on this deal, because the decent offers have already turned into pumpkins?
  17. What's worse, politics or FFB talk in this thread?
  18. I'm sorry, but actually, I do have a perfectly clear idea. Your comments about knocking up hoes and wanting the latest pair of sneakers gives us all a perfectly clear idea. Enjoy your bubble.
  19. count me in. As long as they show chemistry. They looked great last night, from the highlights I saw.
  20. You obviously have very limited exposure to what many people out there are facing. It's OK; many people live in a bubble
  21. I 100% agree. I also expect this team to make the playoffs. I think those with the "ship him out at the deadline" will be sorely disappointed. I can see him being an asset to us in the playoffs.
