  1. Am I mistaken, or having I been hearing more and more that the market for "rental" players is really on the downswing? I know it's not likely (unless we knowingly trade him somewhere we know he won't sign), it'd be amazing if GMBot could pull off a trade and then re-sign him July 1. Although, we'd probably lose a conditional pick if something like that were to happen.
  2. I really like Kane-Eichel-Bailey Most teams cannot contain that speed, and it will wear them down and open things up. Edit: they just need to get a little better in their own zone
  3. I enjoyed Reinhart on wing so much that I'm perfectly happy for him to stay there. He had a great rookie season at wing, and think he could turn into a 30-goal winger. I like Larsson and Josefson at C.
  4. He may be in error to accuse you specifically this, but he's spot-on about there being an observable presence of this thought on the board
  5. Yes. I actually find it interesting/fascinating to watch the new system get implemented, and watching the players find their roles within it, etc. I'm still hopeful. But we do have dead-weight on the roster to cut.
  6. Things are starting to click. ZOMG Yes, and he's popping right back up. He's much bigger than Ennis, though. Next summer, his diet should be entirely protein shakes and he should do nothing but squats & core strengthening exercises. C'mon, man.
  7. Bylsma was good at minimizing risk and stifling talent. We've now introduced risk and have been extremely sloppy- that can be fixed. I'm in the "give it time" camp. But in the meantime, can we trade O'Reilly for Duchene?!
  8. I was hoping ROR would be our next Drury, or something close. He had moments last season where he brought the team to life with his effort. I hope there's more of that left in him, especially if he's still here when the playoffs are in the picture.
  9. Beaulieu will bounce back. Some ugly moments, yes, but he'll be good
  10. Did anyone notice how Gorges seemed to be the only defenseman who stepped up near the blue line, to prevent an easy zone-entry? He did this a couple of times... From what someone posted before, my take was that Housley's system is to not allow easy zone-entries on D. However, I didn't notice most of our defensemen doing this. I saw Gorges do it, and thought, "good, a veteran who's implementing the new coach's system and being a role-model for the younger guys."
  11. It may work for some, but the former seemed to work for TJ Oshie
  12. Your description actually sounds very similar to another player on our team, with the initials MM
  13. He means a link that's not ancient history. Stupid post. Stupid. Get lost.
  14. Sam may be fine.... in the AHL...
  15. YES LET'S TRADE KANE YOU IDIOTS!!! WHOOOOOO!
  16. haven't liked Tennyson much at all
  17. It's ok. Tyrod plays better when he feels a sense of urgency
  18. Trade Samson for a goalie?
  19. It has, which is why they should do what I said- work harder to create the opening. You can't just expect it to be waiting there for the taking.
  20. The problem is, he's too poised. He doesn't have that fighting/battle instinct, he doesn't fight for the puck, he doesn't break his neck trying to regain position when he's down, etc etc. I think he's a great backup. Unfortunately, he may be the best thing we have, ATM All the teams have watched the tape by now, and they know the drill- take away the Eichel one-timer. I still agree with you, but it's going to be harder, and it's going to take some practice for them to create that opening. I think they attempted it once or twice, but it wasn't tape-to-tape.
  21. grammar fail ...sorry, I couldn't resist
  22. But we already looked up the stats and found out Jack and Kane scored more when on the same line...
