I really enjoyed that game... Especially the 3rd period. The team still has its work cut out for them, but I'm enjoying the ride either way!

Aside from the team building, KA has done great work with the Cozens, Samuelssen, and Thompson contracts. Not to mention getting Levi signed (and seemingly very happy) given the history this team has with NCAA flight risks. All this is credit to the culture him and DG have built.

A healthy Tage and a "hot new goalie" could mean we could actually do something if we're lucky enough to grab that 7 spot. 8 spot will be a warm-up for next year.

Was at the game, unbelievable ending, and awesome 1st period. In the hall up in the suites my wife said to my friend after the game, "That's so awesome for his parents, they must be so happy!". At that moment, Levi's mom walked by and said "Thank you!". 👍

Mr Schmoe will be watching this from the box seats I thankfully got invited to. I'm so excited... I definitely don't want to be working anymore at this point!

Obvious choice is Tuch, but I see Greenway on there and not a lot of people are talking about his intangibles. I'm going Greenway.

I agree with his slow and long approach of keeping a large stable of prospects and not giving them up for veterans even though it's frustrating in the moment. To win the cup, you have to get lucky... Plain and simple. There's too many good teams to build a guaranteed winner. The key is you need a team that can compete over many, many years. The more years you're in it, the better chance you have that your team gets hot at the right time, and not be hit with injuries, etc. When you give up prospects and go all in for just a short window... You better get lucky in those 3 or 4 years. If not, the cap will catch up to you and you're done.

Looking ahead it looks like there's the following matchups: Wednesday: FLA vs TOR, NYI vs WSH Thursday: FLA vs MTL, PIT vs NSH, Friday: BUF vs NYR Saturday: PIT vs BOS, BUF vs PHI, FLA vs CBJ, NYI vs TBL Sunday: NYI vs CAR, PIT vs PHI The teams ahead of us all have a bunch of loseable games coming up... Its possible that provided the Sabres do their part that we can ground by the end of the weekend. Beating NYR and PHI will be big IF's though... But it'd be great to see the bandwagon rockin again if they do.

Has anyone ever checked out the Drunk Theatre shows? I saw the ads for Drunk Peter Pan at Pearl St Grill (I think the actual shows are at Riverworks). Looks like it "could" be funny, but could be pretty bad as well. Is it worth the drive in from Canada?

I get the frustration, but being that I don't get to see what goes on in practice, I always give the coach the benefit of the doubt on shootout selections.

Some friends and I got scalpers seats to a Jays game probably close to 10 years ago when scalped tickets was still a thing to do. Our entire section was some Pride event (Pride day at the Jays???) A fun time was had by all! Has something changed since then?

I was listening to After the Whistle just to see what the meatheads thought about it. Surprisingly, I agreed with some of what was said. Though I would wear the rainbow jersey without hesitation, I think asking a Christian person to wear the rainbow shirts is a bit of a stretch. To the guys' point, it'd be more impactful to get the team into the community and have a road hockey game or something. As per what I learned in my Catholic school education, even Jesus would walk amongst the "sinners", so if a Christian were to skip an event like this, it would definitely be on them, and not their Christian values.

Did anyone hear Dan say the Mighty Quinn? Have I been living under a bridge and is this a thing, or did Doohickey get some love?

I haven't followed this thread at all to see what the groupthink is, but we're in this with a goalie, and winning if #10 isn't playing defense.

I'm watching. This game could mean something if Levi sparks the team into another hot streak once he's in... Likely not, but there have been plenty of worse reasons to watch this team over the last 10+ years.

Problem is, they always give the shiny new toys the maximum benefit of the doubt when bringing them in. Hate to see this guy play over Jost or Hino.
