He's played really well since the trade.

Took me nearly ten min to write and had to change it four times before I had it down in the chl lingo.

With Edmonton and Toronto with wins and zona on the way to a win it was a great night to steal victory from the jaws of defeat.

We've lost some games we had no business losing this year so it's nice to win one we should have lost.

I was only commenting on how the rebuild did bring us Risto and Zad and they're only not prospects anymore because they were good enough to make the jump to the NHL at a very young age. I would have to really do some digging to confirm but I think most of the 2013 draft players are still considered prospects because they're not in the NHL (I'm thinking of guys like Domi and Nurse). As for Tim being aggressive I am completely on the same page. I think he will start that come the draft. It would not surprise me one bit if the Sabres land Kane. When Murray was hired he came out and discussed the tank openly (too openly in some cases) even making reference to manipulating the roster come trade deadline and how he believes the team will be good after two drafts. I think the tank was 100% planned for this year and after the season he will do anything and everything to improve the team in the immidiate future. We keep hearing quotes about how he's ready to make a deal now. I think Sabres fans having to be 'patient' lasts 2.5 more months and then it is full on Go Time.

I know but your quote was implying the rebuild has only brought us one legit prospect and that's just not true.
-
Keep in mind that Zad and Risto are what? 19 and 20? Girgs is 21? Those guys came through this rebuild and are only not prospects because they are already playing for us.

Big loss for the oilers. Shots were 24 14 Edmonton as well.

Your going to have to wait for the offseason for that. I think this summer that's exactly what Tim will be going after. For the next month it's going to be nothing but futures we're looking at.

We must be watching a different player this year. I thought Myers has played well this year, especially considering he's on a terrible team and playing the toughest minutes.
-
Why would they even show those scenes? It'll be a pretty big letdown if they just leave it.
-
I hope he does it again.

One of these times I'm going to click on here and there will be an actual trade. With all of the sellers this deadline I would love to see Tim come out and 'set the market' (remember those constant Darcy phrases?) For tank purposes and actual return purposes I think selling some guys now rather than a month from now is the prudent move.

I have no idea what it was all about. Can't wait for it to play out though. Do we really think they're going to Washington right away after setting that scene up?

From a cap hit perspective that makes sense but from what I've read on the Ducks boards and prospect write-ups Vatanen and Lindholm are almost both untouchable at this point. Vatanen has put up big numbers and is averaging well over 20 min per night. I don't think there's any chance we pry him out. I didn't realize the Ducks have three guys 23 or under that look to be future (current?) studs on the back end. They look to be set up for years back there.

Although I agree with this, I was reading the Ducks message board on the rumor of Myers for Fowler and their fans were saying there better be another Buffalo piece coming back in the deal. I haven't seen much of Fowler but their fans seem really high on him. I'd settle for Fowler and Gibson.

True but the 12 games before that are: Rangers, Preds, Blue Jackets, Canucks, Panthers, Lightening, Senators, Capitals, Leafs, Rangers, Capitals and Bruins. With 7 of them being on the road. We need to go something like 9-3 or 10-2 through that stretch and get a bit of a cushion. The next four look like they could be tough as well, although Philly is fighting for their playoff lives and playing well (CHL poorly) as of late.

He's been good all year but he's been even better since that trade to SSM. Hopefully he keeps it up.

I love how you never know who will get killed off next. It makes the scenes more suspenseful as the "good guys" don't always win. What a great show.

That's a guy you win a shart with. Come on Murray, nows the time to move enroth!!
