Before their second leading scorer went down (for probably the year) I would agree with you. That's a huge loss for them.

No. I hope we go on another big winning streak and have this thing out of reach. Then when it's mathematically sealed (in the best case scenario) there would be 7 or 8 games left in which we can cheer for losses (wins) at that point. This season is already a lost cause, finish this thing and win the damn Shart!!

Yep. As last night showed, any team can win on any given night. Let's get this thing right back on track. Great news that Arizona lost but the leafs just continue this winning streak and it's making me uneasy.

I know you don't like Crouse and I am fine with where you have him but I myself could not justify putting Zacha ahead of him. In the couple of games I've seen of Zacha he plays a very similar game to Crouse but is not quite as big, not as physical and is scoring at only a very slightly higher point per game (still under a point a game). Not to mention he plays on a better team. That doesn't even take into consideration his dumb suspensions.

I keep praying Detroit goes with that Larkin/Sheahan/1st deal. Two higher end forward prospects and yet another 1st will go a long way for our inept offense. If it happened by the deadline that would be even better.

Not sure about Kessel but that Phaneuf contract is almost unmovable at this point.

That sounds like a terrible recovery ahead of him. I want the Isles to tank but I really don't want to see any serious injury such as this. I hope he fully recovers. There are many Isles fans speculating he's likely done for the year as well.

I keep reading he is expected to be out 6 to 8 weeks. Man, it sounds way more serious than that.

I just cringed and almost threw up in my mouth. I hope he doesn't go the way of Bryan Berrard.

If we win the lottery there's no way I'm trading down to two for two late round firsts.

Well after watching Edmonton storm back in the third to win a game in regulation when down by two going into the final frame and Arizona using their 5th string goalie and going up 2 0 less than five min into the game today it made me realize the shart is far from locked up.

All right I laughed out loud.

Hhahahahah that's right. I will admit it gets confusing when they go to OT. Those end up being one point games then right?

This is the Carrion. We want a big Sabres win tonight. I agree with you about Toronto. With them playing Arizona I'm hoping the Leafs lose in OT. Edit - and pi2000 beats me to the punch.

I like all of these ideas. But my issue is when I have to do 25 unique ones in a row and then try to remember which one I went with every month. I do appreciate the risks involved with someone hacking into my account but I really think I should have the say in how unique my password is and how often I decide to change it.
-
I don't but I'm now looking into it. Thanks for the suggestion.

If I had no restrictions I would say Grigo and Pysyk are up with the team but guessing if one of those two were to get traded? I'd go with the former.
-
More and more websites (banking/investing) and now my damn log on to my work computer keep asking me to change my log in password every 30 days. Ok fine, I guess that's a good practice. Except now you can't use any of your last 25 passwords. 25!! How am I to remember my newest password every 30 days when it has to be something completely different (they don't even accept it if it's close to your last one). Why are you telling me how protective I have to be with my own damn password. That should (and use to be) for me to decide.
-
I'm going to disagree and if I had to guess on those I'd say Pysyk is with the Sabres and Grigo traded.

Nothing else. Two core Dmen that have each have the potential to be a top pairing, a potential top line centre (or very good second line centre) and a great looking third line centre. I know nobody else in the organization is a slam dunk but there are some potential 2nd and 3rd line wingers and middle pairing Dmen there. You get yourself a superstar franchise player picking 1 or 2 and everything will fall into place. Also, some have soured on Myers but I think he can still be a good 3rd or 4th Dman on a good team. Ennis could also be a second line winger on a good team IMO. Add in two more firsts in a good draft and it still comes back to us landing that franchise guy.
-
Hahhahaa. Too many years of seeing the Sabres disappoint me I guess.
-
By selecting McDavid they will have rebuilt the team in a day (when considering our other pieces already in place). Didn't Crosby put up huge numbers his rookie year? Also someone projected McDavid getting something close to 90 points in his first year based on his OHL stats this season.

I'm not watching this until he's mathematically ours :P

There look to be quite a few guys of interest late in the first and early in the second round. Let's hope the Isles and Blues make quick exits in the playoffs and TM won't have to pick at the very end of the round. Scouting is suppose to be Murray's specialty so here is a huge opportunity for him with likely 3 picks between 20 and 35. I'm trying not to read too much on McEichel as we know how good they are and I don't want to get my hopes up until we win the Shart but it is getting scary how close we are.
-
Ya it's too bad it's gone down this road. Especially with me watching on a regular basis how good Dal Colle looks. The Bulldog on WGR was saying he hoped the Isles gave us their 2015 even if the Isles won last years lottery and had the first overall selection.
