Can I steal NS thing and go VANDE SOMPEL!!!! I'll be at the Gens game tonight watching him closely again. He has 2+2 in the 5 games of the first round. He is undersized but seems comfortable in the D zone and is a magician on the Power Play.

I know that we do have a much bigger need at forward but I'd rather still pick BPA. If Edmonton is in 4th and really wants Hanifin then maybe that move would work. Or maybe we just take the forward and not mess around with it.

That's a pretty good article. Makes me want one of those forwards (specifically Strome) over Hanifin.

There is this possibility. But it would be so much nicer to take care of our own business and get to 2 without giving up Girgs/Reinhart, or anything else for that matter. The beauty of Eichel is we will have our three centres slotted in good position going forward.

Would you go Hannifin or Marner at 3?

That's a fair point but Marner's games without Domi is a very small sample size. That 2.77 PPG is actually much better than his 2.0 PPG for the season (with Domi). It is debatable who should be picked ahead of who but I still go with the big forward. I have heard Marner is a hard back checker and plays tough despite his size so that's good to hear.

If he does I really hope it's strome. I think he could have a Monaghan rookie type year.

What do you suggest? Take strome or marner over hannifin and just wait for the rebuild to run it's course over the next three years and hope one of them turn out? Draft hannifin and trade him? Trade the pick? Options are there but if hanifin is best available then I want him. What do you do from there?

I'm sure the plan was to end in 30th and pysyk and McCabe are not in the lineup getting that experience because the limited time they have been up here they played very well. What else could have Murray done to make this team worse? Both goalies played well and were traded. Basically anything and everything was moved at the deadline. It's just unfortunate that a bunch of players with little skill are playing like this is the biggest playoff series of their lives.

Oh no 30th was planned. I guess it's not the end of the world to pick 3rd but it's the same old same old around here. Worse part is with the young guys coming in and the changes to the lottery the bottoming out is over and as much as I do really like reinhart, there's no superstar on this team.

Ya I think you take hannifin and then use zadorov in a trade for ROR.

I take Strome over Marner. A 6'3 C is more valuable than a 5'11 winger. Not to mention Strome had more points in the regular season. Having said that, I still think Hannifin goes 3rd.
