I love Sam Reinhart. Completely disagree with Bucky that the team will be contender status when Sam is in the bottom 6. The forwards have so much potential. The D and coaching is holding this team back.

How did they do it the right way? Got lucky with ping pong balls? They traded away everyone and their grandmother just like us during their tank year. Only difference is they had been bad for so long that they had high picks like Kadri already in their system.

I haven't cheered for losses since the tank year but I may start immediately. We need CJ. We absolutely need him.

We were just outshot 39-23 against the New Jersey Devils. Enough is enough already. We lost by a goal so whatever but to be outshot by that margin against a fringe team is unacceptable.

Hahhhahaha, true losing 4 straight hurts. But this game was looking like a blowout for a long time. The game was in the bag. After that Julio catch that game should have been over. To expect to win it all and have everything happen like that is....indescribable. This coming from a Buffalo fan.

My brother is a diehard Falcons fan. Been cheering for them for years. Sibling rivalry said that I had to cheer against the Falcons regardless of who they played. Still feel terrible for him. I think he's still sitting on the couch staring blankly at the tv screen. He's on suicide watch right now :lol: I told him now you have a taste of what Buffalo fans feel.

Why is it shocking? They have to waive him to send him back to the Amerks right? They overpaid him as part of the wink wink ROR deal. Therefore he will more than likely not be claimed. Nothing to see here.

I appreciate the analysis but it is wayyyyyy too early to give ratings on these drafts. I'm starting to question GMTM slightly but drafting is not something I have any issue with. Ofcourse Eichel and Reinhart were no brainers. Every team seems to hit occasionally after the first round but it's far from a given post 1st round guys will be NHL players. Here are guys after the first that look very promising: Guhle - 2nd rounder that looks almost like a lock to be in Buffalo within a year or two Asplund - Way too early to know what he turns into but I think there's a ton of promise here Pu - 3rd rounder that is currently 4th in OHL scoring. Looks like he's a nice prospect with NHL size and speed. Fitzgerald - Another 3rd rounder with a lot of promise Borgen - 4th round pick with again a ton of promise Outside of the obviously Reinhart pick I'm not thrilled at all with Murray's first 2014 draft but his last two appear to be very solid based on early viewings. Again, who knows where these guys turn up but I've been impressed by the potential of the past two draft classes.

Just wanted to mention I bought tickets long in advance for Sunday's game between London and Oshawa to watch Cliff Pu. I was not disappointed. During warmups my little guy and I were wearing our Sabres jerseys and getting Pu's attention. He smiled at us a couple of times and my little guy was loving every minute. Apparently Cliff was out the night before recovering from the flu and you could tell he seemed to get worn out later in shifts. But overall a great game and exactly as advertised. He's big and fast (almost a Justin Bailey type style). He came out for the first unit PP, first unit PK and played a good all around game. Several chances to score but ended up officially with 1 assist. GMTM is taking deserved criticism lately but some of his later round picks have the potential to be regulars in the near future.

Get Des out of the lineup. That is all.

Not as much to do with records as it is keeping the league close so everyone thinks they're still in it even though in reality it's really tough to climb 5-7 points. Keeps butts in the stands later in the season.
