DDB had Reinhart playing third line winger and the team blew YET ANOTHER two goal lead! How the ###### is Dan still the coach? I haven't directed too much of the blame at GMTM yet but his acceptance of this coach is changing my mind. It is obvious there is discontent between the players and coach. It is obvious he isn't getting the best out of this group. How is he still here? Is it because Pegula is afraid he will look bad since he fired Rex a year and a half into his 5 year deal? Why are we even giving these coaches 5 year deals?

Is Sam really practicing on the third line as a winger?! Are you kidding me. I'm so done with this coach. Even if it isn't the lines you use in the game, Sam should atleast be practicing as third line centre.

My God I would hope so. That would be a big loss. I'm not sold on Ullmark and Lehner is inconsistent to go along with his concussion history. Petersen is my guy.

I haven't read the actual CBA but from the articles I've read discussing it you have until August 15th the year after he graduates from college. So I'm almost positive he would still be an RFA this summer. At this point he's a pretty high end prospect (our best goalie prospect?) and therefore I would have thought we would have heard more last summer since he wasn't signed.

Really? I thought he had to go back for one more year before he becomes a Vessey? Ya I don't think this is right. A player must play 4 full seasons of college to become a UFA. This is Cal's third season. That's why there will be a big push for Murray to sign him this summer.

Interesting take. So what do we think of Vatanen? I've heard he's having a down year and I believe was a healthy scratch in a game last month. He's 25 years old with 2 goals and 16 assists on the year. Former 4th round pick but plays 22 minutes on a good team. What kind of guys would be going the other way to make this deal work?

Thanks for the chart, that was great work. I don't like DD and I think this team should be better then where they are right now. But visually, this does show that we've improved from last year and back flirting with the playoffs. Pretty much where many expected us to be. I hate using injuries as an excuse but if Eichel doesn't get hurt maybe we're 4 or 5 points better and really in this thing. With all the ups and downs it's good seeing a long term visual on their progress.

As an update. Here is an update on how each player has done statistically since the trade ROR - 118GP 33G 63A 96Pts Zads - 75GP 0G 12A 12Pts Grigs - 125GP 12G 33A 45Pts The other pieces included 31st overall pick and Compher for McGinn.

Zadorov - 0G 10A in 53GP. Pi will like this, he's a -18.

I trade Kane straight up in a heartbeat. I've liked Kane's game the past month but he's one off-ice issue away from having zero trade value. Also, I feel like we have an abundance (ok wrong word) but more talent on forward then on D. I'm willing to balance that somewhat with a trade like this.

I'd be shocked if Marty had any inside knowledge of this. Speculation IMO.
