Have some fiber or something, lighten up. I can't be excited about the successes that Nylander and Asplund had in the tournament? One is finally showing the skill and play that we have been hoping for and the other is showing signs that he could be ready earlier. Does it mean that it will translate into the season, maybe not, but it's something to have some excitement over after having a bare cupboard in Roc under GMTM.

Even after we drafted Dahlin, I didn't let my self get too excited for next season, then we traded for Sheary and I was like okay, lets see how this works out, still not super positive, but then the combination of the Skinner and RoR trades AND the success of the prospects, I am pretty excited as well. There is a lot to look forward to. With any luck, Asplund and Nylander have success in Roc and earn call ups early on and continue to play well.

i think that Asplund has probably earned himself a pretty early call-up this season. Can't wait to see if Nylander can keep it up and dominate in Roc and earn an early call-up as well.

i had the chance to see the presser, you can tell by how McD presented himself that this was not his decision to bench NP and it came from elsewhere in the org. crazy how he just can't get over his love affair with NP.

i for one would be extremely happy if Nylander puts up 60 pts a year, that's extremely solid 2nd line wing status right there.

Good write ups, with regards to Columbus, I am glad they have a good team, the fans there deserve it. I live near Columbus and have been going to games for quite some time now, i root for them after the Sabres of course. I have been to games in numerous away arenas, and i have had the best times watching the Sabres in Columbus, always fun and the fans are pretty awesome.

agree, would love to see Bosa in a Bills jersey, but, i can see a trade down 6-10 and pick up numerous picks, i think the O-line/WR issue is more important(very slight) than an edge rusher ATM. I really hope that Beane doesn't trade up in any of the rounds, you can hit on OL with 3rd and 4th picks

Since the young prospects all played well, Thompson, Nylander, Oloffson, Asplund etc etc. Where does that leave guys like Fasching, Bailey, and Baptiste when TC starts? Are they on very short leashes at this point? Are they destined to stay in the AHL? are any of them even good enough to be thrown in to a trade?

awe come on, MM is defintely not a great player anymore, but he is a great person, i had the chance to meet him a few years ago and i was impressed with how humble and kind he was....but i still get your point

Wouldn't it be somehting if they keep it up during TC and preseason? A lot of people wrote Nylander off, including myself. IF, big IF, Nylander keeps this up and earns a spot in Buffalo, LW becomes awfully interesting.

I hope he's not planning on trading him, we are a little short on wingers that pot 20 goals a season.

I spent 12.5 years in the Air Force and I always felt a little weird when someone said thank you for your service to me. I always just thanked them for their support, but, i didn't need to be told that so often. That being said, there are a lot of military and veterans who want that admiration constantly, ask for discounts every where they go like Dave's BBQ joint owes you 20% off your meal or something, I do not identify with these types whatsoever
