On a Okposo thread and my first thought was of Vesey flying into town. :doh:

And now my unrealistic hopes of him signing this week are through the roof.

I may be wrong on this, but when his ELC runs out I believe he'll be an UFA because of his age. He won't have to stay w/ the team that signs him on or shortly after August 15th.

Great point. And as I keep saying, he will not sign w/ Chicago. It'll be difficult for him to earn a top 6 position there.

Key word is could. He's not signing w/ Chicago. Vesey is playing for his 2nd contract on day 1. He'll go to a team where he thinks he'll put up the numbers. Need ice time to do that.

Little was shown this weekend. Kind of disappointed. In the past it seemed as if every other channel had some type of Independence Day related movie playing. What "Merica movies" do you guys try to watch on or around Independence Day? The Sandlot is one I always try to watch. At least have on in the background while celebrating Independence Day w/ friends and family.

Zelda is the series that keeps me loyal to Nintendo. As long as Nintendo keeps cranking them out, I'll continue to buy their systems. Will admit though a Nintendo is not a stand on its own console. Due to lack of third party support you pretty much have to have a playstation or xbox. Anyhow, Zelda is my favorite series of all time. A close second is Metal Gear Solid, and the Metroid Prime Trilogy blew me away. Here's my top 6 for the Zelda series. 1. Link to the Past (Bite me. Call me old. Don't care.) 2. Ocarina of Time 3. Skyward Sword 4. Windwaker 5. Twilight Princess 6. Majora's Mask (Gotta agree w/ TrueBlue. Did not care for the clock.) Looking forward to Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. W/ the NX coming out Nintendo will drop the price for the Wii U. If I already didn't have a Wii U, I'd pick one up just for this game. Plus, you can pick up HD versions of Windwaker and Twilight Princess.

The size of the latest Legend of Zelda is huge. The map will be 140 square miles. Talk about needing time to play this one. Wow.

Isn't that rule in the NFL? If a player doesn't report to the team that drafted him, he has to sit out an entire season before going back to the draft. Don't see players doing that in NFL simply because they know their stock will drop. Miss the avatar w/ no Leafs pants? lol

If Vesey is serious about his checklist, he will not be going to Chicago. Not a chance he'll crack their top 6 or be on the first power play. The only contender I think Vesey would consider is Pittsburgh.

This I agree w/. If a franchise shows little commitment and an unwillingness to allow a 2nd chance, they will have difficulty bringing others in. Okposo is good indicator the NHL as a whole is becoming aware of how great it can be to play for the Sabres and live in Buffalo.

Can I join? If so, I'm calling under. The guy will not reach 15 goals or 35 points.

I don't see much of a rebound in Moulson's game. It'll be difficult for him to crack the top 6. Playing on the 4th line will limit his chances to produce points.
