  1. They’ve been even better in the playoffs
  2. lol not that I know of. Just funnin
  3. What if we get to .500 so dudacek can post again?
  4. 16 points in 7 games for Eichel. He’s certainly lived up to the early billing They’ve just realized their seasons actually start in April. At the very least in McDavid’s case. I’d pay much more attention to his 33 points in 22 playoff games last year
  5. Slow start last year too, no? Some of the slow starts we’ve seen probably balance with some of the heaters cooling off Edit: it was 2 years ago. 1 point first 6 games
  6. Should be viewed as an utter non-entity until proven otherwise
  7. Passing your drivers test on the 6th try Do you wanna be in the passenger seat with that guy
  8. - - - oops I meant for some merging here. I guess you get 4 posts, one for each Blue Jays ALCS victory
  9. If Doan maintains 75% of the level we’ve seen, the combo with Kesselring likely makes it a pretty darn good trade, unless Peterka explodes. It also wouldn’t belittle the issues that led to the trade. Hey hey you you get off of McCloud
  10. I’ve gone on record saying I’ve realized I can’t root for the team anymore while Adams is GM. So, you don’t even need a “gotcha”. I won’t root against them again. So, im just not watching. i said, 5 years ago, my line was 5 years. They ran it back for year 6. For me that means distance It’s not something nefarious that can be called out. It’s just honesty, and a called shot and signaling of intention on my part. Been accused of a lot of things on this board, many of which is true. I can’t ever remember being referred to as inconsistent. So, there’s that at least
  11. This
  12. I guess my post isn’t winning any Oscars, eh. my jokes land less than Hancock did with the critics
  13. I highly doubt Adams has the ability to pull off a trade like that. Whatever deal he does make will probably just be something he Slaps together last minute
  14. He’s a playmaker for me An Eichel-like player if you will Yes, we need another playmaker lol
  15. I’ve long felt we’ve needed an Alpha like a DeBoer to fix this. Somebody who doesn’t need the job, but wants the job, because they want the damn challenge. A little bit of ego here wouldn’t go amiss. “Alright, I’ll f*ckin do it.” Someone lacking the fear, who understands the further, substantial increase in status they’ll get by being “the guy to resurrect the Sabres.” I’ve always felt we needed that fellow at GM. A coach wouldn’t be a bad start
  16. Ya I mean I agree with you in theory. Any player not named McDavid should always be on the table for the right price
  17. If they all had that haircut I’d have no choice but to rank them among the truly elite teams of my day
  18. And it’s the trade you’ll get. Those are the types of players Adams traded for see: “Josh Norris” (whoever that is) his deals are just a microcosm of his overall strategy. “If eveything goes right…” ”Ya but what are the odds o…” ”BUT IF THINGS ALL GO RIGHT…” The player will have a noticeable possibly fatal flaw and we reap the benefit
  19. If they trade him now, dollars to donuts it’s not for a top 6 C, but rather the dreaded “middle 6”’ C
  20. 1999 Sabres. 2006 Sabres. 2025 Blue Jays. That’s it, that’s my list. In chronological order. this sh*t just doesn’t come around very often. Cherish it.
  21. Ya I mean I would have gone with “we have a goal scoring 1C on IR” if wanting to be nice I can’t remember the exact stat but I believe this primary assist rate per ice time was bottom of the barrel league relative Oh here it is: Josh Norris had 2 primary assists at 5v5 his last 103 games in Ottawa 2 primary assists in over a full season’s worth of games. If anything is comfortably not a “playmaker” it’s him. Absurd stat
  22. How many times have we seen sabres players go on to other environments and look much better? It stands to reason that MUST exist in reverse, even if relatively few and far between. Perhaps he was just a good fit, here. I certainly won’t necessarily retroactively diminish what I saw from him here because he hasn’t done it elsewhere yet - cause you are right, he was good here. Granato was mentioned above and that’s a good point too. We underrated him as a coach
  23. Norris is one of the worst assist getters in the league statistically
  24. Promotion only in name, probably into “token” roles that have little to no impact on actually building the team. As much as it’s a comment on how low a bar Adams has set while being in the chair, I won’t look upon a GM change as anything but a promising relative development Everyone knows the buck stops at Terry and we can talk about that until the cows come home but there’s no question that *at least* the second most influential mind behind the construction of the team is the guy who sits in the GM chair. That the person occupying said chair hasn’t, through aptitude, proper communication, and demonstrative results, managed to *become* THE lead voice, if they haven’t, is as much a comment on the failings of said GM(s) as anything. A paramount failure of the Adams’ regime
