We are reliant on Tage always but without Norris our offence seemingly has no chance if Thompson isn’t playing at the all-star level we know he’s capable of. 88 point pace. Not close to good enough - but the abundance of OT losses probably begins to shift somewhat towards outright wins or outright losses as the season goes on, I’d wager. Injuries should work in our favour, on the other hand teams tend to gear up as season goes on and historically we’ve fallen by the wayside as that happens so that likely cancels out still too close to call

No matter how much he percolates at the AHL level it’s never going to bridge the skill level gap to the NHL because he isn’t going to grow in size - and that’s the differentiating factor where Levi is concerned it’s not that most goalies don’t make mistakes in their positioning, it’s that their sizes bails them out more often than not. Levi doesn’t get the benefit of that and AHL shooters don’t have the ability to expose it

They seem to often be a little counter intuitive. They dial in against the “elite” starters and really work the count, they just DO NOT strike out which makes it incredibly difficult on said starters, who aren’t used to their relentless approach, 1 through 9. Against Seattle game 1 when they got the Mariners’ “5th” starter they struggled. Basically, they actually seem to up their game when facing the best pitching
