I actually get a good level of catharsis when I read the “I’d rather miss the playoffs” posts. Like actually seeing it in writing I get reassurance I’m not insane in thinking it really, really is easportsgmmode for some. The team and its assets are like a collectible item I just want to win lol. Maybe you have to be born in the 80s or earlier, I dunno. I just view sports differently. I’d have a lot of fun sharing wins with friends no matter how they come. it’s not even about the playoffs anymore. It’s about the fact we aren’t even a part of the league anymore: the 82 game seasons don’t matter.
