  1. We need to save space to match Byram’s 13 million dollar offer sheet
  2. For the “1”? I honestly just picked it cause I thought it was the lowest possible (maybe it’s 0.5) and felt literally nobody falling for it would be a reasonably likely result. It will be a farce if we don’t spend it (as it has been)
  3. Cannot believe they are going with “we won’t be spending to the cap this year to protect against an offer sheet.” Not even hiding it. the over / under on how many fall for this has to be set at 1, no?
  4. I don’t agree tbh. Adams is terrible and he still got to 91 points under Terry. The opportunity was clearly there for huge gains and he utterly missed the boat. A better GM couldn’t have pushed that forward under Terry? 1 point was a magical barrier? Terry is bad but that need not limit our impression of Adams who is worse as a GM than Terry is an owner. Fact. And Terry stinks as an owner because he won’t spend. A good GM could have shown the mental baby that is Terry the light Adams is a doofus but also a liar and disingenuous. Terry is an old rich guy. Your general connotations of those descriptors should suffice nicely
  5. It’s like he legitimately believes people will mistake quantity for quality when it comes to thoroughness in addressing the roster This is just busy work
  6. This is the type of deal (the original trade) that remains our hope after the slow start to the offseason. We can split hairs in either direction all day but the roster as constructed more less seems to have been either tweaked at the fringes (Lyon/Reimer, Timmins/Clifton, Danforth/Lafferty) or likely downgraded in talent (Peterka/Kesselring+Doan). We can argue for “identity” upgrade with the later deal but realistically, smart money says an about break-even roster, aptitude wise, is where we sit, provided the Peterka deal doesn’t backfire too badly. I was hoping for picks for vets deals, even/especially high picks (looking at 9)…prospects for vets. Haven’t seen those yet. But, as mentioned the McLeod deal represents a template for what could still come - didn’t arrive till July 5 last year im not sure we’ll see a noted “upgrade” should we move Byram, if we move Byram failing something McLeod-esque…I mean right now it does set up nicely as more less “more of the same Sabres”
  7. WAGON
  8. Fool me once, shame on…..shame on..you..? point is, cant get fooled again
  9. No you are thinking of Matt D’Agostini
  10. Blue sky thinking/the only sane course of action given our relative circumstance thinking..whichever The Sabres operate along the fringes of their roster as if they are a team comfortably in range of their goal, rather than one desperately attempting to achieve the goal for the first time in a decade and a half wherein failure is unacceptable. B/c they’ve proven failure is acceptable. They are not accountable The truth is that, they only need to be accountable to the fans if they want to be.
  11. Thankfully we are 5th least in need of a playoff spot
  12. There is no way a true goalie upgrade is coming under this administration. Conversation of 3 years ago I’ve all but stopped joining in on. If Adams has proven one functional aspect of his roster construction it’s that. It will take a different person steering the ship to make re-attacking the position a priority. Their plan was Levi and it’s darts from now on - there’s no pivot coming
  13. No I care about the ends not the means
  14. Quinn - Kulich - Thompson Benson - Norris - Tuch Zucker - McLeod - Doan Greenway - Krebs - Danforth Malenstyn
  15. Jays have been VERY fun lately
  16. “We got him?! We got Justin Danf.. oh forget it
  17. Half the $ tied up in rookie hockey cards Terry just told Adams he has to find the right deal for them
  18. Feel like we’ve seen that before, yes I remember as a small child in Kindergarten being tasked with “drawing my street” and, being a child, struggling with scale, so that starting it out it was way too big on the left and then had to shrink it to fit by the time the right edge of the page got close, and then eventually just running out of room altogether that’s Kevyn Adams but he’s a 50 year old man being paid millions of dollars
  19. Lyon is having a desperate tantrum on the phone line asking if there’s anything he can do to veto this. Contacting doctors complaining of high cholesterol..things of that nature
  20. Drafted 5 years ago in KA’s first draft, hasn’t yet played a pro game. I’d say so Wait why Jacksonville
