  1. From the Sabres' point of view, it depends on how long and how much Helle's new deal is worth...5 x 9m...the Sabres should do it in a heartbeat. Helle is what you would hope Levi will be. I think Chevy tries hard to re-sign him.
  2. Me and 2 buddies hammered the walleyes yesterday.
  3. You spelled Bobby Orr wrong.
  4. Comments by Winnipeg Ice head coach James Patrick on Peyton Krebs... “The footprint he had on the organization in terms of culture as far as work ethic, coming to the rink everyday trying to get better, not blaming others or ice time, not making excuses, just accepting adversity and fighting through it, it set the tone for every young guy,” Patrick said. “He really set the tone for the future.” Krebs also taught his teammates valuable lessons off the ice. “He’d already gotten a couple of touches in the NHL, so he knew what it took to play at that level,” said Benson, a Chilliwack, B.C., native who was teammates with Krebs during the 2020-21 season. “He brought his habits back to the WHL. I picked up a lot of what he did. When you’re younger, you don’t really think about taking care of your body and what you have to put in your body to perform at your highest capabilities. That’s just stuff Peyton did, and you could really see that it translated onto the ice. He hasn’t really been injured and keeps his body in tip-top shape.”
  5. I'll take a stab at some of their problems... Had a good run in 2018 and then lost to the Blues on their way to the cup. The Jets didn't show up for that elimination game and that should have been an eye opener for management. Over that summer they lost Buff, Trouba, Myers and Chiarot (4 of our top 6 D men) and Chevy replaced them with AHL players for two seasons wasting prime years of Scheif, Helle, Wheeler, KC, Ehlers, Morrissey, etc... Also, not much is said about KC but he is absolutely horrible in his own end but he scores goals so most fans like him. Nobody held them accountable when they didn't play D. You can't get away with not playing responsible D in the playoffs. I have little problems with Bowness, he preaches D and tells it like it is but we were missing 3 of our top 6 and a top 5 league wide D man. We weren't getting by Vegas with all 4 of those players out. Wheeler needs to be on the next bus out of town followed by PLD. If Scheif's give a ***** factor and play doesn't improve next season, I'd move him at the TD. Schmidt at 5.95m per season should also be moved...Heinola at 1m can replace him. Unfortunately, I don't see a rebuild this summer.
  6. They are going to probably start Stanley on D and he isn't fast enough in my opinion. I'd go to the farm for Ville Heinola. Helle needs to play better.
  7. Chants yes, boo no. To be honest, I didn't hear them booing Eichel but I watched a lot of the game with no sound. We are done...no Morrissey for minimum rest of series, no Ehlers, No Perfetti, mediocre Helle...........oh well, time to look forward to a very busy summer for Chevy.
  8. You're in the room? Remarks like this by fans amaze me how much they follow whatever the media says. Also, he played really well in both ends for about half the season and has now gone back to last year's lazy, don't gaf play. The Jets aren't going anywhere with him playing like that. This is a guy that set a goal record in the playoffs in 2018 (most goals scored (11) away from home in the playoffs) without even playing in the finals. The main reason for not getting a point a game is because he was saddled with wingers earlier in the season that were not top 6 caliber. He actually played a much much better D game with those wingers. He has been on the RW now for about 6 or so games.
  9. Maurice would never call out one of his "boys". Ehlers and the rookies would get that from him.
  10. Let's not forget that they turned the light off on the Jets the last time they met in the playoffs. Cheaters all around. Best of 5 and 3 of the first 4 are in Winnipeg...I like our odds to be honest. Eichel played well while Scheifele played like he didn't give a *****...absolute garbage.
  11. Thorny said..."I’ll continue rooting on their downfall as my most hated team". Which is it? Eichel was underwhelming to say the least.
  12. Hartman scores the winning goal and Ehlers isn't starting Game 1. Fackin dickwad.
  13. He hits him less than a half of a second after the puck leaves his stick. By the rules, it is a legal hit.
  14. It was a legal hit and he shouldn't have even gotten the minor. Hartman, on the other hand, shouldn't have even been playing to score the OT winner after that BS hit on Ehlers and the BS DoPS only giving him one game. Crock of shite. I hope the Stars take the next 4 straight.
  15. Unless he's blown out, I'd start Levi every game this season...b2bs or not.
  16. Dryden won the cup and Conn Smythe and won the Calder the following year. The Bruins won the cup the following year and Dryden picked up only the Calder the following year. He is the only goaltender to win both the Conn Smythe and the Stanley Cup before losing a regular-season game. The best money goalie I have ever seen play.
