  1. Nino Niederreiter Andrew Copp Hampus Lindholm Braden Holtby
  2. Honka played in 16, 42 and 29 games. The last time he played in the NHL was 2018-2019. 2014 draft.
  3. That game was more entertaining than most Jets' games this year...
  4. Wheeler is 36 this year so I would agree with you there. Scheif will never be "key" playing the way he has this year. I'll bet he's glad the NHL isn't going to the olympics.
  5. Which players would that be? 22 year old KC? 22 year old Morrissey? 22 year old Ehlers? 24 year old Trouba? 23 year old Copp? 31 year old Stastny? 33 year old Buff? 31 year old Wheeler? 32 year old Enstrom? Scheif, Myers, Little and Lowry were probably in or entering their prime but that's about it. My money would be on Dryden.
  6. Okay, gotcha. Haven't heard of any of them! Lost Beaulieu so it looks like we start 4 rookies on D. Dillon and Pionk are the vets. Not making the playoffs this year. A cap team with way more good contracts than bad contracts and we're not going to make the playoffs. Helle having an average year is showing the warts. Covid protocol and injuries don't help but every team has those. Lots of fans want Scheifele traded, Lowry (the center not the coach) banished to the 4th line blah blah blah. Maybe it wasn't Maurice?
  7. I would answer you but I don't know who they are?
  8. Our starting defenseman for tonight's game... Dillon Schmidt Beaulieu Pionk Heinola Kovacevic We are in trouble.
  9. The Coilers disease starts in upper management. They have made some really bonehead moves and continue to do so. Nurse gets 9.25m???? Seriously??? Hyman, 29, 5.5m for 7 years??? Keith 5.5m??? Ceci signed for 4 years at 3.25m??? Why? Let's sign a pensioner to play goal for us... Just unbelievable deals and I love it.
  10. The Sabres have better goalies than the Coilers. Love to see them struggle and hope they don't make the playoffs.
  11. I see him playing wing the rest of the year but I think they look at him at center next year (if he stays up this season). Scheif only has 2 more seasons after this one so I think they find out what he can do at center before they deal with Scheif's next contract. I'd start him off centring the 3rd line with a couple of vets like Copper and Wheeler. I don't see Lowry playing Wheeler in the top 6 if he doesn't deserve it like Maurice did. Connor PLD Svechnikov Vesalainen Scheif Ehlers Copper Perfetti Wheeler Stastny Lowry Harkins
  12. He played wing on Dubois' line last night but was at center for the Moose. He definitely has the smarts to play the position but he isn't knocking PLD or Scheifele down and he needs to play in the top six. His positioning in the defensive zone was spot-on as far as I am concerned. He set up PLD for a sure goal that PLD missed and he missed a goal from point blank range himself. Samberg and Chisholm didn't look out of place for their first game.
  13. Perfetti showing his new coach that he is ready for the bigs tonight.
  14. An underdog beating a team that I absolutely hate! Good thing because I made some serious coin on the win.
  15. I hope Perfetti is coming to Winnipeg after the juniors. He can show them how to run a PP...
  16. I think there will be a prolonged pause and the postponed games will be mostly made up during the olympics seeing as NHL players will not be going.
  17. I think Maurice is an excellent coach for a young, up and coming team. I don't think he is the right coach to get them far into the playoffs, if his teams make it to the playoffs. A really good educator/communicator but he has flaws that he has had for years. I don't see him going back into coaching but I do see him coming back into hte organization in a few years. He's making 3m for the rest of the season, he's in no rush.
  18. You spelled Dahlin and Power wrong... Seriously, I don't want to trade him I want him to start playing better. If Scheif and Ehlers get going with the way PLD and KC are playing this year, we'll make the playoffs. That, to me, is Lowry's challenge. Get all the players going at the same time. I honestly think we see the coaching staff fired this off-season.
  19. He resigned because he was going to get fired. Kudos for the Jets for letting him resign with dignity. Jets will have a tough time making the post season with players like Scheifele playing like he doesn't give a ***** when he should be showing management why he should be the next captain. It's a good thing the NHL probably isn't going to the olympics, it saves face for Scheifele because he wasn't going to go playing the way he is this year.
  20. Chevy inherited Noel so this will be his 2nd coach hire this summer. His drafting and development and cap management will keep him here.
  21. That dickwad Bettman lowers Spezza'a suspension to 4 games...
  22. Lowry is taking over for the rest of the season. If he doesn't get them into the 2nd round, they should clean house this summer. Harder to do that mid-season but I wouldn't balk at Julien. Lambert would be another one and I can hope that the Isles do poorly and Trotz is fired and comes home to Manitoba. I'm sure Chevy is watching what Lowry will do with them and will be grading him along with all the other candidates this summer. I'm interested to see if Lowry can get a fire going under Scheif's ass. He needs to play some D and keep his frickin shifts shorter. If he can get Scheif and Ehlers going with the season PLD and KC are having, we'll make the playoffs. If we don't make the playoffs, Chevy will clean house.
  23. Let's not forget the losses like the one to Arizona where we let them shut us out in our barn. Losing to the Canucks, lots of talent but a power play , horrible PK for years, etc... Is past due date was over. Let's hope Lowry can get them into the playoffs.
  24. Yup, time for somebody else to lead the team. I'm glad he's gone.
