  1. He may no physics but he donut no english
  2. I can't see him coming back, it doesn't make sense. He won't get the credit if the team improves GMTM will and the young guys will and if they don't do well out of the gate, he'll get crucified for their failure. A clean slate to help everyone forget the past couple of years and look forward to the future is the only sane way to go. Pro sports has nothing to do with fairness, coaches are hired to be fired. He's a for certain goner in my estimation.
  3. Dude, it's almost over. Go to Bailey Discound Liquor and Wine, chug-a-lug a gallon of Thunderbird or Mad Dog 20-20. When you wake up again, it'll all be over and the least of your problems will be what place the Sabres end up in and neither will you care. Be thirsty my friend. Old man lying by the side of the road With the lorries rolling by Blue sabre uniforms sinking from the weight of the load And the buildings cheering Penguins Cold wind ripping down the alley at dawn And the morning paper flies Drunk man (fakegorby) lying by the side of the road With the daylight in his eyes Don't let it bring you down It's only castles burning Find someone who's turning And you will come around
  4. Hopefully he's showing off his newly installed pecs. It will be nice to see him play in AHL to see where he's at.
  5. Wow, look on the bright side..... we're only 43 points out of the last playoff spot. How far have we fallen Sabre fans.... We are celebrating (???) DFL, what a fall. Puhlease make this all worthwhile, PLEASE.
  6. Wow, what an ending!!!!! Does Toews get the Sabres Player of the Week Award???? :P
  7. Good first season though, every show adds something to the character. Wow, slice your own brother's gonads, Chuck's a big one, I agree.
  8. Whoaaa, settle down big boy, actually I saw both his games this weekend but that's besides the point. My attempt at sarcastic humor obviously hit one of your buttons. I'll use an emoticon next time, just so I don't cause such a stir. My apologies.
  9. Or maybe he saw Eichel play this weekend and thought OMG Grigorenko II, I'll need to keep Nolan around to get this guy to work hard Puhlease let it be C.McDavid!!!!
  10. Being old doesn't forgive you for being crotchety. As for the generational talent... Would you rather be the #1 pick in the Walt Patulski draft or John Elway draft Would you rather have the #1 pick in the Patrik Stefan draft or Crosby draft Sometimes a guy just sticks out that you know is going to be good, this is a good year to get the #1 or #2 pick, a no brainer even for clowns
  11. Surprised me too but by the time they are real contenders, he'll be toooo old.
  12. Well Moulson is 31, I think you made my point for me. Pegula seems willing to spend, they have cap reserve, their best players are on their first contract or about to be, They have the money to burn.
  13. Well I'll hand you that, if we had stable ownership we wouldn't be in the predicament we're in. Having said that, except for the older crowd looking for a last run at a cup or wanting to be close to the family, you won't get the younger player without being right with the Money. Free agency changed everything about sports. And with the present Sabres, you want the younger guy coming in. You're not going to win anything next year. The Gionta's won't be here when the rebuilding is over.
  14. Anna, being the woman you claim to be, you should know that #1 IT'S THE MONEY and #2 its the allure of something better (Crosby) than what you had before. Don't hand me that Baloney, I want Wardynski's..... Are you telling us that there is more to coming to Buffalo than MONEY or the allure of winning. Too much snow, State taxes, that's why players come to Buffalo??? We'll have money to spend and they'll be able to sell the opportunity of getting on the ground floor of playing with a possible generational player. Not too much to ask.
  15. Watching the Stars broadcast of our game the other day, their pre-game team also mentioned how well Winnepeg did on that trade. They were highly generous of their praise of Myers but that Stafford was playing well too but getting the #1 pick was also over the top. They felt with Myers the Pegs could end up with the best and biggest D in the league and they will be tough come playoff time. It was interesting listening to a neutral voice on that but they agreed that was the biggest trade of the deadline. Some praise for Bog's but Myers offensive skill was just what the Pegs needed on D. Almost no mention of Kane by the way.
  16. Lose the first one and you don't have to worry about the 2nd. By the way isn't it flu season up in Dallas, would hate to see the team catch it while there and bring it back. :P  :P
  17. I have to admit this is the first time in my lifetime that I'm hoping my team loses. That in itself is proof that this has been a horrendous year. Even last year I was hoping for wins. Is it the allure or possible BS that there are 2 generational players in this draft??? I'm sure there is because before I die, I want a Buffalo team to win a championship. Not miss a FG, not have a 4-2 loss to the Flyers, not have some BS goal called good because my paranoia says they just don't want us to win over Dallas. I want the momentary glory that comes from my team winning it all. So back to McEichel, yes I want to finish this aberation of a season by losing and hopefully getting back to being a real fan and wanting progression and winning to be the goal.
  18. This must be the season of a psycho-analyst's delight. Bipolar symptoms everywhere. The HIGHS.... We beat the Bruins in Boston...... The LOWS..... We beat the Bruins in Boston, WTF??? Please don't make the Season of the Tank be for naught. That it's strange, so strange. You've got to pick up every stitch, Mm, must be the season of the witch (tank), yeah

    Grigorenko

I agree with you in principle but if they trade for a vet Center, you're going to play this guy the 2nd pick of the draft, especially on this team on the 3rd line??? Who's he going to pass to??? He needs to play with talent to get better to reach his potential. Sticking him as a winger early in his career is not the death sentence playing on the 3rd line could be plus possibly playing for Nolan, GOD FORBID.

Rookie year will have both of them adjusting but if they're as good as advertised, teaming up with Kane should have them rolling by mid-year. My other portion of madness comes from us having so many LHers that placing 2 of our RHers on two separate lines makes sense (to me anyway). Also the Girgs-ROR-Ennis line has enough of vets on it to compensate for a lack of it but they wouldn't be the first line in the NHL built that way. Also with Reinhart knowing McDavid and having played with him would give them both some confidence and Eichel has the size to hold his own. Third line might work because Foligno is a bruiser, Larsson appears to be a possession guy and hopefully CoHo can regain his scoring touch. If you'd prefer Moulson it's the 3rd line, anything you get out of it will all be good compared to this years. I'm not advocating for Gionta, he should probably hang em up after this season. Which is even more reason to not have him on Moulson's line And as for the 4th line, after the past 2 years is that really a priority for next year??

Gionta's what 36 now, will be 37 next year??? I could see Moulson moving up but at some time you have to let the young guys have their chance. Besides the top 2 lines would be a major upgrade over anything we have now. In a short time frame, I've been impressed with Larsson, Foligno has been coming around, CoHo might be ok if last year wasn't an aberration.

With the Islanders doing a late slide that #1 could be around 20. I'd place Pysyk, Grigs and that #1 for ROR. Then with a little change in paradigm the 3 lines could look like... Z.Girgs..... ROR.... Ennis Kane.....McEichel..... Reinhart (right hander) When this lines ready, move them to #1 Foligno.... Larsson..... CoHo (another RHer) Moulson.... PickSomeone....Gionta I'd be excited to watch them again!!!! Especially after the past 2 years.
  23. It’s the vast left-wing conspiracy. President Obama’s senior adviser Valerie Jarrett leaked to the press details of Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email address during her time as secretary of state, sources tell me. But she did so through people outside the administration, so the story couldn’t be traced to her or the White House. In addition, at Jarrett’s behest, the State Department was ordered to launch a series of investigations into Hillary’s conduct at Foggy Bottom, including the use of her expense account, the disbursement of funds, her contact with foreign leaders and her possible collusion with the Clinton Foundation. Six separate probes into Hillary’s performance have been going on at the State Department. I’m told that the email scandal was timed to come out just as Hillary was on the verge of formally announcing that she was running for president — and that there’s more to come. Members of Bill Clinton’s camp say the former president suspects the White House is the source of the leak and is furious. ‘Obama and Valerie Jarrett will go to any lengths to prevent Hillary from becoming president.’ - Source “My contacts and friends in newspapers and TV tell me that they’ve been contacted by the White House and offered all kinds of negative stories about us,” one of Bill’s friends quotes him as saying. “The Obamas are behind the email story, and they’re spreading rumors that I’ve been with women, that Hillary promoted people at the State Department who’d done favors for our foundation, that John Kerry had to clean up diplomatic messes Hillary left behind.” Then, according to this source, Bill added: “The Obamas are out to get us any way they can.” Just in case anyone truly believes the Republicans are the only one interested in this story!!!!! And it was a Democratic Congress that set up the email regulations in 2007-8 because of information that came out on Bush's SoS, that Hillary led the indignation against Colin Powell at the time. Pot calling the Kettle black.....
  24. They are the highest scoring team in the West (and they've only played us once) so I would say you are correctomundo. Blue line and Goalkeeping has been a problem all year for them. Unfortunately (or maybe not) I see alot more of their games than I do ours.
  25. I'd like to get Matt Beleskey out of Anaheim. LWinger, still young, won't cost an arm and a leg, has a nice shot and can get the puck in the net, has size, is a beast in the corners. He would be a nice addition to play with Reinhart. Best years ahead of him IMHO.
