I don't want to come off as an anti-Samsonite but Backstrom at the end of his rookie year was the center on the Caps #1 line. Samson isn't close to that level as a center on this team. Appreciate your insite but lousy example IMO. He was also touted shortly after coming into the league as the best Swede to do so in years.

True in that it appears to be the only good thing he's NHL level at, at the moment. Most overrated guy on the team right now. Disappointing for a 2nd pick in the draft. Needs an all star level Center to make him look good. As of now there are no worries about him blowing up our cap space when he's a RFA.

We've already lost 103 games to injuries from guys who were projected to be on the team per start of the season We've played 89 man games of rookies who should have all been up to this point in the AHL Amerks We've lost 49 man games to injuries to players who would have been in our top 6 forwards Plus 3 of them are most likely not at 100% yet, ROR, Kane, Jack We've lost 23 man games to 2 Dmen who would have been in our top 4 We're not a Stanley Cup contender and not because of the coach. I'm not sure what more you could have asked of DB considering how the season blew up on him right from the start. You may be right in that he's not the guy to take us to the promise land but until the whole team is together, hopefully sooner than later, I'm going to give him a pass and see how things shake out. Yes I also thought this would have been a more enjoyable year but sometimes Pu happens. Yesterday was a good start, lets see how things come together especially after Bogosian and Kulikov come back.

I didn't vote for President Elect Trump so please don't label me, but these are the facts of the matter. There is no way we will ever convert from the Electoral College system. Smaller states would have no say whatsoever on who is elected President. The Left has no respect for anyone outside their bubble. To be fair the far Right doesn't either but that doesn't include most people who vote Republican. Democrats live in a vacuum in that they believe they are the majority Party who just lost an election. They believe anyone who doesn't vote for them are racists, bigots, uneducated etc..... More facts..... Republicans control 69 of 99 State legislatures, 34 of 50 Governorships, the House of Representatives, the Senate and now the Presidency and soon to be Supreme Court. That my Sabre friends is a complete sweep of the political landscape in this great country of ours. Hollywood, the Media and supposed Progressives have been repudiated in this country. Cry, moan and groan, disrespect every leader in this country, disrespect everyone who didn't vote the way you did all you want, YOU are the minority view and there is no getting away from that. Another fact, 60% of all members of the House of Representatives in the Democratic Party come from just 5 states.

Not sure where we are there in bolded but we are 4th in the league in GA/GP (2) Maybe with a dearth of goalscoring forwards on the club presently he does think that's the way to win. 2013-2015 seasons we had a total of 106 points. He took over that squad and since the last 1/2 of last season and so far this year he's turned this squad around to a record of 25-18-9. 59 points in 52 games for a season progression of 93 points. A terrific turn around. (3) Maybe just maybe, it's because he knows what he's doing??

Further case in point, although Foligno didn't get a point in the first goal yesterday, it was his battling on the boards that won us possession to start up the play. My only disagreement with you is that before there were always fringe groups that demonized the other side that no-one disputed were fringe groups, I don't remember an election being this personally heated as this one is. I don't think either winner is going to have an easy time governing this nation going forward. It isn't just Congress that seems unable to agree on anything, it's the electorate from very differing States that are voting these people in.
