  1. Um, no. Their whole storied franchise is based off of tanking and winning the lottery, but to them it's all about being really good at drafting.
  2. A superstar players instead of getting his pay gets a large percentage of the team that can't afford to pay him, he intern continues to play to support his now owned franchise. When he can no longer play and the franchise faltering on bankruptcy and threatening relocation, they win the lottery for the greatest generation player in a year with no hockey. Pure luck, it's just all pure luck.
  3. Who ever he hires you'll get it to fit the narrative. :P
  4. I've got no problems with their selections.
  5. You said that without laughing? you're good you're good
  6. Just fun to see how these past changes could have an effect future outcomes. It appears now that getting good by drafting is more of a crap shoot than at any time in league history. Unless... Toronto
  7. Your age is showing.... I have the perfect t-shirt for you  It's been since the 90's that we went to see a live *famous* artist/band. Life and responsibility happened. Now that we are a little less encumbered by it all we feel the need to replenish those joys from our past. Not sure who else we want to see. It has to be the right mix of music and atmosphere. Want it to be upbeat, positive and fun. The audience for us is as important as the performer. Also take it you live near Atlanta, that region has some nice venues and gets a lot of great acts. Good for you to take advantage. We would love to go to Darien Lake for a show. Steve and Tom would be a perfect combo for us! Have you ever stayed at the campground and gone to a show? We understand that to stay in the campground we have to buy all day park passes, which we don't want, plus concert tickets to see the show. It becomes very expensive fast with the park passes.
  8. We went to see Steve Winwood and his daughter Lilly in concert over the weekend. Had A blast! Forgot what a great musician/performer he is, and how upbeat and fun his shows are. ************************** T-shirt of the night * I might be old, but...... I got to see all the coolest bands !*
  9. This is my type of humor, just made me laugh like Santa! I needed that, thanks wild. Just did the same with my cousin NS. Family politics is more cut throat than any other form so I personally understand your angst. Glad it's work out very well for you.
  10. I'm throwing lead bullets at Sen's fans, they're not worth steel or silver.
  11. Why? Why the whistle? The puck was clearly loose.
  12. Some life in the Caps now. Between two teams that should be playing for confrence championship. But NHL. Sorry, had to get one more kick into that dead horse. I hate the Pens.
  13. Screw the Pens
  14. So you got a smaller fish? ????
  15. If this is true, and I have no reason to doubt you, I would be heavily involved if I where TP in all GM and coaching hires for both teams after that screw over.
  16. Its hard to have your cake and eat it to.
  17. Gives me a lot of hope that with a new gm and coach and in 2 years we could be where they are.
  18. Kodak stupid for burying their heads in the sand about a lot. IIRC the one company saving grace idea they missed out on was a digital printer they patented. ESPN/Disney still needs to play out. Nobody is going to tune into ESPN this week for hockey coverage. So those people are gone. They have a butt load of people covering the most boring of all sports events in the world, the football draft. A bunch of those people are gone. No one cares, except stockholders.
  19. Kodak thought that digital photography was a passing trend. ESPN/Disney seem to be able to see the writing on the wall.
  20. Purely from memory.. He was from the central part of NY. Grew up a fan of Bills, Sabres and Yankees. Had a nice show on Empire for about 2 years then moved on to bigger and better things. Now I will Google..... My memory sucks. Pittsburgh guy.
  21. And you are the complete opposite model from the Pats. Over spending on money and picks for running backs to hopefully accomplish a wildcard spot. Welcome to groundhog day for the rest of the AFC East teams not in N.E. that have gone this route.
  22. WGR just went through an exercise like that on their morning show Monday or Tuesday. It was surprising the amount of Bills players that where in the situation of over paying to keep.
  23. No, but 5 of those bad moves do. 10 makes for a bad team for a long time. Falling in love with your own players and over paying them is not good.
  24. I thought of Bogo also at that point, but then asked, was that what he was being asked to do? Play a simple game, get it out of the zone via the stretch pass? Not playing to his strength of being a relatively fast and decent skating big defensman.
